@@elfakyn Like if it has a clue at the begining of the level and then uses that clue to let yo figure out a pick a path without dying, then that's a puzzle, but without context it's just Pick A Path.

How about a 2 option spot the difference, but both are wrong; then when you pick one, it tells you to choose the other and gives a clue; but then when you have both clues, you realize the ACTUAL path forward.

Today Panga got better, but still not 100% Also, he held a stream for Endless Expert (because there are about 50-60 levels kept uncovered with that video, and the need for new content is bigger with every video). Just some particle-ish notes today :3 1540: of Kimun-san → for Kimun-san (the え was a mistyped へ) 1549: For submission → With sub-mission also 'Degree of Risk' might be more natural as 'Danger level' or so, but understandable either way.

Idea for troll level: Put the answers to "spot the difference" at the very beginning, put the 1v1 spot the difference at the end so you have to remember it for the entire level, put normal troll level stuff in between

@@Merennulli no no something like: 1 space hollowed out of a wall, it has a normal key. 1 space hollowed out to right right, with a mushroom, but both of them are kind of hidden out of the way Then, at the end, you get 1v1 identical spot the difference but the first has a normal key, the other has a cursed key (the one that makes the ghost mask fly at you). Next has 1v1 normal mushroom vs SMB2 mushroom Or something like that

I was watching this with my 7 year old, as we have been binging the heck out of your Videos and I said “there might be some cheese here” with the shellmet on the third level, and I than made a comment of I need some cheese. She proceeded to grab me a bag of cheese out of the fridge and said “take it or leave it, the level sucks” 😂

It would be fun to be able to make a "spot the difference" that puts something into the panel based on RNG and distributes a shelmet to the side that's "correct" so it's different each time. Maybe have 2 panels like that, but a third panel that doesn't have a path so you know that's what you're comparing to. In a well crafted troll level you could even send people back through it and change things in the comparison panel to match the "wrong" panel. People who are good at setting up mechanisms, feel free to steal/modify the idea. I doubt I'm even the first to think of it.

@@13vatra It doesn't seem like he's doing that kind of video anymore, but yeah. The RNG mechanism he showcased a while back involving a sideways springboard in a clown car knocking a shellmet left or right is likely to be the best way to control the setup. It could run across a couple noteblocks that drop the right items into place and then terminate in a switchblock to open up the path so a player can't see it until everything drops into place. The hard part is placement in the limited space available. I'd really love to see Ceave tackle it. Or really anything at all, to be honest, I miss his Mario Maker videos.

Ok, this idea is mostly dead. :( You can do offscreen shenanigans to affect what's onscreen, but you can't get things into place offscreen except through spawn blocking of things that sit still or through destruction, both of which leave FAR more obvious signs than you'd want for this gag. If you grow a vine or drop in a shellmet in the background, it WAITS to do it until it's fully on screen, and if you missed it you can offscreen it. I tried scrolllocking with both vertical and horizontal approach one-wayed to avoid repeat offscreening, but it doesn't stop it from being waiting until it's onscreen to do the setup in full view.
