Bacio Pantesco is a typical dessert from the island of Pantelleria, which is part of Sicily Italy.
The pantellerian kiss is made up of two flower-shaped pancakes joined by a filling based on ricotta, to which other ingredients are added such as chocolate flakes, candied fruit and cinnamon.
This dessert is a graceful variant of the cassateddi from nearby Trapani, sweet ravioli filled with ricotta. In turn, cassateddi are relatives of the Sicilian cannoli.
They all have in common a fried shell with a ricotta filling.
