I think Perseus Pantheon is pretty good. I know its not redefining him into a different character, but it takes his base form and leans even harder into the Greek mythology. He's got the helm of darkness, the aegis shield, the winged boots and a trident (for some reason). Sometimes the skin doesn't have to redefine the character with new concepts, just take the concepts you loved and go even harder on them.

Myrmidon Pantheon has an _amazing_ splash art though. The glowing eyes, the fire/magma/whatever hot thing around him that is, the dark but still golden armor... Simply awesome.

Pantheon main here. Myrmidon is one of my favorite skins. Maybe it's generic dude in armor, but it's some of the sickest armor with an amazing silhouette and that splash is just... chef's kiss!

The worst pantheon skin is ashen knight, not because it’s inherently bad (interesting concept, nice to look at) but because it could’ve been so much more. We we promised glory, and they gave us shame.

For those who dont know, Glaive Warrior Pantheon is based on the Zalmoxis god which has deep roots within romanian folklore, that skin is superior to others imo for the fact that they took inspiration from such a non popular god that its in the history of my country,it makes it 10/10

I personally like the repetition of these skins on him. I agree there shouldn't be any more of them, but his whole character is based around the idea that he's just another soldier. Just a man. And so his cheaper, more basic skins really get this idea across, and you can pick which suit of armour you like the most and imagine yourself in his place

myrmidon actually looks cool with the reds, looking like a sun warrior, while perseus is full on greek, especially with the aegis shield, though both would probably look better if they had their custom vfx and not just recolors

Have to disagree with this one. While gladiator is a little bland, Perseus works well with its mythological inspiration. The shield is a really well done element, imo, finding a solution to include Perseu's mirror shield and the visage of it's enemy, the Medusa (one can even say that the fact the face represented at the front of the shield alludes to Medusa seeing it's own reflection). The golden armor, winged sandals, and specially the golden laurels sells the heroic and mythological aspect of the character. Myrmidon... I don't know, I think he looks badass. Meanwhile, ascended, ruined and ashen knight are mostly what if pantheon but recolored and bad/good/somber.

Glaive Warrior is so good because it just nailed the Dacians warriors, same for the old splash art as well.

Glaive warrior was made as a free skin for romanian language being added in the game. So they had a reason for this motif, as an historical idea, like how medussa skin was for greek language.

Yeah but one issue, most of those skins relate to a real life region so more people that are from there or like that place will want those skins, and Glaive warrior well they nailed the Dacians in my opinion

I understand that ruined and ascended go against "the god died, the human survived" theme of atreus, but in those skins, it really is pantheon, the aspect of war, not atreus, when the ruined king possessed atreus, panth got somewhat revived and in ascended, the what if is, panth bested the control of viego and got resurrected, like, this is not atreus we are talking about, this is full on pantheon

I actually really like the perseus pantheon skin, even myrmidon doesnt look bad imo. Pantheon is a champion that lets you live the fantasy of the supercool greek warrior and those skins are like... chromas of his character? If you want more greek mithology refernces go perseus, if you want a really sick armor there is myrmidon. I personally like the idea of pushing even more into the hoplite fantasy, without sacrificing the skins quality.

i was super frustrated about ruined pantheon too, felt like such a frustrating idea that his whole deal is he broke free from a gods possesion to then fight them, only to buckle to viego of all people :/

I personally quite like historical skins, I just feel they aren't always executed the best. Also I feel much of what makes Pantheon so badass is how simple he is, so these work pretty well for him.

Even though I agree that Glaive Warrior isn't his best skin, it is impossible for me to not like it because it represents my culture in a respectable way. He is undeniably Dacian, although he would've used a regular spear instead of a glaive. The soldiers in the background are historically accurate and Pantheon is more of a fantasy version of them. The wolf head used as a helmet, and motif for the shield and spear, and the snake scales for his body armor, though not accurate are still a nice addition and are really trying to utilize the classic Dacian symbol to its max. It makes me happy to see a bit of light for a culture that otherwise is not represented in the slightest. If I had to pick the worst skin, it would be Ruthless Pantheon for the simple reason that he has strapped shotgun shells that he clearly is not using.

I actually really liked ascended pantheon because it tells a story about how his corruption by the ruined king couldn’t be purged without sacrifice. And how he had to embrace the very thing he despised in order to to become himself once more. Am I reading too deeply into it? Probably. But dammit Blue and Orange/Gold color palettes are awesome!

why do skins have to put the character into a new role why cant they just be a cool dude in armor not saying very skin should be a bland guy in armor but some skins should be simple buff and cool guy

my first impression of myrmidon pantheon was something along the lines of 'charred elderwood' (based off the splash art) and i really, *really* wish that was what it was.

Tbh the "basic armor" skins I actually really like because they do the simple "what if character found their story/personality elsewhere" by showing a spear/shield warrior outside of the "Greek fantasy" aesthetic that Targon has. Also Glaive is my favorite because I like the way the spear looks 😢

Simple skins can be the best. Glaive warrior is by far my favourite but yeah the concept is pretty much the same throughout all skins but I think it works quite well for pantheon.

I find Glaive Warrior to be the best of them because of its simplicity. It manages to look nice and minimalistic in a sense, especially with the helmets when it comes to the other two who have really visually loud and obstructive helmets

Perseus Pantheon is one of my all time favorite skins. It honestly looks like a prestige skin to me, and the fact that its legacy adds to its rarity.

I'm sorry but even if ruined pantheon is a better skin in terms of design I just can't forgive what it did for atreus in terms of character evisceration, even if it wasn't canon I would still consider it his worst skin.

Perseus Pantheon might be just your average guy with spear and shield, but since I love greek mythology I instantly fell in love with the skin and it may not have crazy spell effects or lore but the concept of it and character model is just enough for me. I'm also waiting for the skin to be released on wild rift and when it does I'm gonna buy it the moment it comes out.

Ok hear me out, cosmic Pantheon! His shield is a black hole that doesn't block attacks but completely nullifies them because it sucks them in. His spear on the other hand is a broken construct from space debris formed with a almost broken point and handle being kept together from his gravitational powers. His attacks are almost like he is psychic, controlling his weapons without touching them but with a graceful elegance. His normal Q is him just thrusting the spear but the charged one is him throwing it in the shape of a spike like comet with the tail that is formed from it catching ablaze in the atmosphere, same goes with him being a comet in the R. W and E utilize the black hole as the shield in the manner of the massive weight of a black hole dropping on someone and him just being sucked in from the gravitational pull instead of dropping with it in the W and sucking up attacks in the E, while the attack in E is cosmic dust and rays coming out of the black hole.

I understand what makes a good skin is of course subjective but for me, I am probably playing that champ because I love the champs main themes, and do not want all their skins to deviate from that theme. Jhin is a perfect example where I just want to play him because the masked murderer/artist conceit is why I play him, but none of his skins play with those because they all change him so drastically. That's why Perseus is usually my go-to next to Zombie slayer; Perseus provides a different flavor of the same warrior-hero fantasy without forcing me to just keep using base skin for that vibe.

If I’m correct about which one the Perseus one is, it’s actually pretty interesting because in the mythology, Perseus used the head of Medusa to turn his enemies to stone, and then that head was later put on Athena’s shield to strike fear in her enemies. It seems like they took that idea and gave Perseus Pantheon that shield, which is really cool from a mythological perspective.

It's interesting because Glaive Warrior was what I considered his best looking skin from the old Pantheon. But after the rework Perseus came out looking sooooo good. I do understand what you're going for, but someone playing Pantheon is definitely buying into the Shield/Spear/Spartan motif and I'd say that Glaive and Perseus are, in my opinion, the best looking 'upgrades' to the base theme. And isn't Glaive Warrior actually a nod towards a specific country's historical military unit? The wolf thing, etc. I can't remember where though.

The glaive warrior is actually a homage to Dacian warriors, it's a skin they made when league celebrated 10 years in Romania

I think my favorite skin might be Glaive Warrior FOR its simplicity/basicness. Nothing super flashy, keeps Pantheon's baller recall, and I'm a sucker for the steel armor and red cape Edit: I'd say my least favorite (outside ashen knight because I only hate it for that Emote, first Pantheon Emote and it's THAT) is Myrmidon cause the helmet.

This disrespect on Myrmidon Panth is unforgivable lol. IMHO It's Panth's best skin by far.

Ruined and Ascended Pantheon are made even worse when you realize that he fit the Sentinel skinline better and that Ruined would have moved Diana's character arc in a really interesting way, not to mention she was more susceptible to Ruination given her inability to find the Lunari. We could have had Sentinel Pantheon, a story of Atreus gladly putting down the weapons of the Aspect to take up the arms of fellow man. His enemy is literally the textbook definition of the kind of person he fights against - a ruined king who has no concern for how his actions affect those lower than him. I'm still bummed about it to this day.

X Skin: Provides a refreshing new perspective on the classic concept of a champion, offering a different flavour based on a different culture with deep references that add immeasurable newfound flavour and feel that gives new life to the champion in a way that stays true to the core fantasy of the champion TBSkyen: All clearly trash skins, Crazy Wazy Glowey Skin is way more different and thus better.

You can't define different role as the good side of this skin that it'll be popular and unique. Pantheon is a man and a soldier, he define everything except for Ascended and Ruined, you're 100% right about that.

Pantheon NEEDS A SILLY LITTLE FUNNY THIRST TRAP SKIN, something like Pool Party, San Valentine, LET US SEE HIS TIGHTS WITH VIBRANT COLOURS, or make something very epic like Elderwood / Coven universe, bring him to Winter Wonder, idk whatever, he even fits Crystal Rose, Battle Academy, Heart Seeker, and stuff!

I'm a pantheon main and I own EVERY single skin and chroma. I have to agree it can be boring to have many skins that are similar for most champs but the cool thing about armor nuts like me, is that they define different mythical, mythological and historic armors and they all feel very different. My favorite is personally glaive warrior too! The contrast on the bright red cape, the gold trails and the badass baby blue wolf head just all look amazing and if I were to choose one over all of them I think the simplistic look of glaive warrior makes it way better to look at over long periods of time. Also being stuck in the spear and shield look isn't bad here. It is literally what defines the character. Spartans weren't known for their swords as much as they were their spears. They were basically faceless super warriors with a shield and spear and that image is the concept of manlyhood, badass warrior and an unstoppable force. With an OC it wouldn't make since but this guy could have came out of the movie 300 XD he is at his core a spartan

Sometimes boring armor designs just hit the right spot for people haha. The "boring" nature of those skins kind of make em unique in that they're pretty muted amongst the plethora of the more outrageous skin concepts. That and I just have a bias towards basic armor looks haha

I like that "basic" look on these skins. It fits Pantheon, his whole "I am just a man" theme

Skins that are several years old and got updated with the rework are nice, they keep the price and themes of a 10year old skin but still give a nice visual change, i don't think there should be that much disatisfaction on these especially since newer skins don't feel special anymore and are just 15dollars cash grabs for recuring themes and champions

To be fair though, I mused about what a unique pantheon skin could look like and the only things I could come up with were: Recursed vampire hunter pantheon, constantly cast in blue flames as his holy relics burn him, holding a cross and a silver stake, the cross projecting a shield and holy fire in fron of it and the stake being used to pin and cross to smite them and the spear throw being a blazing silver bullet. For his ultimate, he could reuse his vampire wings and take off, only to crash back down as the relics weaken him again. Or Sword dancer pantheon, an Ionia and Irelia inspired skin, controlling 2 or 3 blades, using then to block and swipe, pierce and stab or throw and pull back. And for his ultimate, maybe he could mount a sword and fly up on it. Tho, I like the first idea more, since it fits his whole theme a lot more

What about a lifeguard, like the white and red rescue ring is like his shield and either a mop or pool noodle is his spear. The cape is a jacket wrapped around the shoulders and the helmet is a hat with sunglasses. Red shorts and sandals with a whistle around his neck

Idk maybe it's just the art student in me but I actually like all these skins for how they look so artsy and historical to me, especially the headgear. If anything Ashen Knight Pantheon is his worst for the sole reason that it looks like a Ruined chroma. At least you can tell these 3 apart.

I remember about glaive warrior to be a gift for Romanian players when Romanianwas added into the game and by the background looks like it represents the Dacians? Which are the ancestors of Romanians, they tried to add the wolf creature things and something similar to some Dacian armor but also keeping the Pantheon look, which isn't inherently bad, plus the skin, as many others, were made before his REWORK and they tried to not make them better than what they should be, they are not amazing but I still love them since they are still cool.

The myrmidon one is kinda cool at least.

I just use Perseus Pantheon since it's based on Greek myth. That's pretty much it.

I really like Perseus’s big face shield It makes it look like he (quite literally) defaced a statue and stole it for his shield, which is an incredibly interesting idea to me

I personally love the historical inspired armor, especially Glaive Warrior inspired by the Dacians. Perseus is cool too just because I love Greek mythology. The bad skins imo are Ruined/Ascended and Ashen Knight (because it looks like a Ruined Pantheon chroma and barely has any chorus)

I'd argue Glaive Warrior is one of his best because of how simple it is. A reimagining of a Spartan warrior who was raised and fought with wolfeborne warriors. The crimson red cape he dons pays homage to 300 and the spear is a nice design change. I may be biased because it's been my favorite Pantheon skin but calling it his worse feels a little harsh (honestly I'd give it to pulsefire with how boring it is for hoe much it costs but that's just me)

Ashen, Ruined and Ascended Pantheon are just the lamest skins not only because they take his concept of a god who tries to fight as and for the mortals and throw it through the window; but also they just don't feel to compromise with it's premise. Ascended and Ruined Pantheon try to propose the idea of the war aspect taking over Atreus once again but in practice, they take back another of his most important traits (the helmet that covers his face and creates this mysterious persona that identifies him as some divine character) just so they could work on his face. I mean yeah, it makes a contrast with his concept, but nothing else really tries to work on this more divine idea. For Ashen Knight: it's just a chroma. Not only does it not work as a knight skin (he just looks like a barbarian with an extremely fancy helmet) but it does not compensate the amount of money you put on it. Like I said, it just looks like an overpriced purple Ruined Pantheon chroma with some extra vfx and sfx. If they wanted to use his facial traits to reveal some aging on him, should they have also put effort to make him look wiser or more like an experienced fighter, not a darksouls hobo that tries too hard not to look that silly.

I personally love historical skins, and i can understand that from an objectiv point of view, they might be badly executed, but as a person very interested in history those skins just have a closer relation and greater meaning to me than any skins that originate from a universe that riot created.
