We’re eating through the pantry, fridge, and freezer before vacation!! I love the challenge of trying to use up as much as we can… the creativity starts flowing! Join us for this week’s pantry challenge to see what we ate!

What we made & ate last week:
✨Pantry Challenge!!✨|| Making TONS of meals to eat through the pantry, fridge, and freezer

✨Pico de gallo:
Diced Roma tomatoes
Diced Jalapeños
Diced Red Onions
Cilantro
Lime juice
Salt and Pepper to taste
✨Fajita seasoning:
2 tsp Paprika
1/2 tsp Onion powder
1/2 tsp Garlic powder
1/2 tsp Chili powder
1/2 tsp Dried Oregano
✨Smoothie a la Meghan:
1 cup frozen berries
1 banana
1/2 - 1 cup yogurt
1/2- 1 cup milk
Pineapple and a bit of juice
1-2 tablespoons Flax seed

This is my first ever No Spend January with the goal of an empty freezer and pantry. I'm shocked by how much food stuff I bought to survive a societal collapse. SMH. Now I've got to eat them. Yes. It's been a big learning curve for me.

@@charlene5461 I've got how many cans of spam; sardines - I don't even eat sardines - but I guess if I did eat that muck, they wouldn't count as emergency backup - would they?!

@@mysticmeadowshomestead6209 sardines are one of THE BEST foods you can eat! Amego 3, vitamins, protien, no calories, great for bones and hair! Most don't like them...I was raised eating them and love them! Saltine crackers and can of sardines by a river with a fishing pole. Man! That's the life!

Meghan, you should really try the Michael D'Angelos spaghetti sauce. I think we've tried every variety they carry and they're all good. The only place we can get them here in Florida is at Walmart. It is soooooo good. So glad I food your show. I really enjoy it. Although I am 66 yrs. old I am still learning. So thank you. Keep up the great work. You are loved and appreciated more than you know.

Greeting Megan 😲 u know how to put together those leftovers & make an excellent meal & those biscuits looks like the those Bojangles biscuits the only thing they should've been browned on the top with some butter I like grape or 🍎 jelly on my biscuits.😂😂😂😂😂😂.

Megan, I have to tell you, that I absolutely love your kitchen! The cabinets, countertop and backsplash are PERFECT!!! Have you ever used silicone tray and baking liners when cooking/baking? I know some recipes require parchment. I use it too, when called for.

I considered using the silicone baking trays, and muffin pans, but every time I’ve used something with silicone, it has/keeps a really weird taste. I just don’t enjoy it.

@@nrusso967 I kind of thought I was the only one too. But then I heard about some other people whose children wouldn’t eat off of their silicone plates. So they tried to figure out why. When they tasted the food, it tasted just like soap. Once they got rid of the silicone, their kids started eating again.

A SUGGESTION FOR THE TACOS 🌮 I WOULD USE HALF HAMBUGER AND HALF OF SAUSAGE AND MIX TOGETHER IN A SKILLET 🍳, IT WOULD BE YUMMY 😋 😋😋.

Oh we did low spend January this year! It was good as we have so much food in the freezer that we didn't eat and needed to be eaten 😅! That might be something we do every year! Who knows Great meals my friend ❤

Hi Meghan ,, I’ve been trying sour dough starter ,, I’m new at this ,, first batch smelled like acetone and second didn’t float!,, maybe 3rd times a charm!

Keep trying. It took me 12 tries before I got sourdough bread the way that I wanted it. And I’m still always learning new things.
