So even though you think it’s a freak accident, it’s still manslaughter. Murder is when you kill someone with intent to harm. Matt should 100% be punished in some way. You’re not supposed to lift your leg like that in hockey. He’s been very very aggressive in his past games - so yes I think he intended to knock him off his feet but I don’t think he intended to kill him. Manslaughter makes 100% sense in this scenario.

I understand the house thing. But only if the parents are close by…my BF bought his mom’s old house and she still thinks the house is still hers and comes by throughout the week/weekend at her leisure and unannounced!! Even when he isn’t home she will come by! I think his/our situation is worse because he BOUGHT the house from her and she thinks she can come and go as she pleases. Soooo rude and disrespectful to her son and our relationship. But it’s on my BF for not setting boundaries with her…just saying. So it’s cool to get a house as long as you set boundaries.
