This double line corridor will enable running of suburban services providing alternate route from the main island city of Mumbai to Karjat via Panvel. Also This Project will be very helpful for urbanization of the areas between Panvel and Karjat. There will be total 5 stations in between Panvel and Karjat. As Govt. claims the project deadline is 2025 End, in this video you will see rhe ground update of this project.

Central Railway has an excellent opportunity to adopt the Self-Stabilising Track technology developed by KR on this stretch. That should permit up to 160 km/h operation - and save tonnes of ballast too.

Why terminus at karjat ? Isko cenral line se connect kyu nahi kar dete karjat ke pass People from Badlapur side can directly go panvel via karjat (in 1 hr) instead of dealing with crowd in Thane and changing train from there which take 2hr

this is exactly what will happen. local trains will run from CSTM-Panvel-Karjat while express trains will go from Cstm thane diva panvel karjat and beyond. maybe they will have some local services from panvel - karjat - Kalyan in both directions.

I absolutely enjoy watching your videos droneman. Please make a video on the Panvel terminus update and layout, how they are going to integrate WDFC, Panvel Karjat line and the existing suburban lines. It's been years that the work which was started to expand the Panvel terminus is now on a halt.

I go to Panvel daily for college, currently WDFC work has started. They have started demolishing the old suburban platform and even the height of foot over bridge has been increased. But I don't see any progress going on for terminus work and Karjat suburban line.

For the Progress of Panvel End of the Karjat - Panvel Suburban Line just check out the section just opp to the saibaba temple adjacent to the area where NMMT buses stop. Yesterday they have barricaded the Section adjacent to saibaba temple from where Karjat Line will come. At our Panvel Station just adjacent to PF No 3 U can see baricading as well as the slums till the Start of New Panvel FOB will be removed (Enchroached Rly Land) so that the additional Karjat Panvel Tracks can join our Panvel _ CSMT Tracks. The area adjacent to the Saibaba temple is the land for the Karjat Panvel Tracks. if U walk Straight after crossing the FOB u can see Trees have be cut for WDFC as well as u can see the landing of the Karjat Panvel Rail Flyover just after the Vichumbe River. The Police Station was demolished 1 month before now they have marked the Rly quarters. We can see the WDFC alignment Line Marked from Panvel Station till the End , but the Marking for Karjat _ Panvel Line isnt marked yet. so keeping the fingers crossed as to see the marked alignment for the New Suburban Corridor from Panvel Station till the Rail Fly Over.

Excellent Update! What you have said is correct, work is going on at full speed. I travel on panvel karjat railway line every week, work is going on day and night. In fact work for the new karjat terminus is progressing very fast . As for that 2.6 km tunnel.... I doubt if it is through, please check it out. Thank You Droneman 🎉

@@dronemanYTAlso, 1 small note - Panvel-Karjat double line will not start from the existing Karjat station. A new terminus is being made around 800 metres away from it. I wonder if there will be any way of travelling from existing to the new Karjat station.

@@shiva9575 It is for 5-6th line of CR. They need to shift the harbour line tracks and make it independent of CR. So they will also have to shift the station, hence elevated.

LTT - Thane - Kalyan - Kasara - Nashik Aur jo express train Pune & beyond Jaa rhi hai usko CST - Vadala - Vashi - Panvel - Karjat - Pune This is shorter distance and also this route reduces traffic at Kalyan Instead CR should make 3rd & 4th lines between Kalyan & Kasara and also introduce fast train services in harbour line And make 5th & 6th line in harbour for express train Dunno y CR ignores harbour line 😢😢

i was going to say the same thing. all the new works , even tunnels seems to be made according to double lines. it does not cost double to build a twin line and it will help to have a 3rd line as backup since this line will become important / full fledged to have express trains. all express trains can easily go as CSTM--> Thane --> diva --> Panvel --> Karjat --> Pune and beyond. this will ease the load on the overloaded thane --> kalyan --> Karjat section. people coming from Kasara side can catch the train at thane, while others can go to Karjat ( ie which ever is closer)

@@prasannask8320 bhai isse accha harbour line me fast aur express train k lie track banaye.. fir CST se Pune & beyond pune ka distance aur kam ho jayega aur isse harbour line passengers ko bhi bhot benefit hoga.. Don't know why CR always ignores harbour line 😢😢

@@shiva9575 no space to build more tracks on some section of harbour line. Also now trains will go CST to Thane then to Panvel via diva and then to karjat and beyond This will relieve pressure on the Kalyan karjat section

You made a mistake while explaining the alignment. They are actually adding 2 lines. So the trains going to Panvel will also follow the same alignment. The existing line will be reserved only for mails and express.

Ab bhi jo Existing line hain, uspe sirf Long distance trains & freight trains hi operate hongi & jis line ka construction abhi chal rha hain wo double lines hain, jispr se sirf EMU locals hi chalengi........
