'PA PA YA' is a summer festival song about a spicy green Thai papaya fruit salad - using it as a metaphor for life and how adding the right spices can also make that better. F Hero is a rapper from Thailand who was also rapping in Thai to the same rhythm as mixing the ingredients for the salad with a mortar and pestle. This was filmed on the second night at the start of their 2019 tour (so everybody knew to bring a towel or to buy one to swing round their heads), but it has the studio audio dubbed over it - the video was released just two days after the concert.

Great reaction, I'm 65 I was around when metal was born and hell yes Babymetal are metal. They just do there own thing. I stumbled across them a couple of years ago and I listen to them most days. I don't need to understand the lyrics I just feel the energy. I'm well and truly down the fox hole. Keep the good work up.

Nice & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this song performed in "10 BABYMETAL Budokan concerts" which completed on April 15 this year. When you attend their show someday, you will come to know it is very difficult to keep swinging towel above your head for 4 minutes almost all along 😄 . This is an MV of live footage with studio sound. F. Hero came all the way to Japan from Thai for the world premiere of this song and he had been very nervous to perform at a huge arena in foreign country. At the actual venue of this show in Yokohama Japan, Su-Metal shouted "Come on F. Hero!" to summon him. And at the end of this song she screamed "Thank you F. Hero!" then the three girls bowed deeply towards him to show their respect. That scene makes me happy.

glad you're enjoying Babymetal, they're definitely something else, a one of a kind phenomena, never has been a band like them and never will, and as much as you would enjoy their music, it's a treat to get to know the girls (and the live band, Kami band) more. My suggestion is to see other Babymetal vids (interviews, their time in Sakura Gakuin, etc) in addition to their songs. I discovered Babymetal six days ago, and like you was immediately impressed. They are incredible, the kami band is fantastic, love the heaviness of the drums and guitar, the speed and power of their music. The girls then add something that shouldn't work, but man it does, perfectly. Su's voice is top-notch, the choreography and energy of the performances are infectious and captivating. Such excellent performances and a lot of very good songs. Thanks for putting this on and sharing your thoughts.

Nice reaction! I'm a die-hard BABYMETAL fan, and will admit, it took me longer than you to fully appreciate that song. At first I thought "Thai rapping? Meh...". Only after two or three listens did I notice the genius in it. And I can't get enough of the crowd in this video, such an awesome energy!

Great reaction, thanks! Yep, BABYMETAL is mostly about having a great time. Sometimes a little darker, sometimes a little crazier. But always with high standards about all the pieces of a performance (mainly live, because they originated as a live act). And "PA PA YA!" is on the funnier side, a summer festival song. I would have liked to have been at that concert, too (ANY Babymetal concert would suit right down to the ground!) but I would have been pissed if I paid top dollar for front row seats and spent the entire concert looking up at the edge of a stage. And this isn't the first time Babymetal has done rap or hip-hop: go back as far as 2012 to "Iine!" (two "i's", no "L") ( kzfaq.info/get/bejne/p7yUdaWA1bnTfmg.html ), or to last year with "BxMxC" ( kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pM1ooMtnr7utoY0.html ). And I apparently I missing something: why can't you record your reactions to ALL of Babymetal songs? Just because you recorded them doesn't mean you have to release them all at once (and it would be just TERRIBLE if you became the "Babymetal Reaction Channel"), and just because you recorded a reaction today doesn't make any less a real reaction if you post it two months from now. Like I said: I'm probably missing something. And perhaps the question you should be asking yourself is why deprive yourself of listening to music you clearly like by leaving it in the hands of a fickle fan base? How many comments have you run across that said "please stop playing Babymetal"? Of course we want to see you react to more Babymetal! DUH!!!
