Okay, so KZfaq is now putting ads on my videos without my permission. Please, skip it if you can, close your eyes if you can't, and NEVER purchase a product advertised on this video!
This follows a commission I made of Maleficent from Disney's classic "Sleeping Beauty." Visit me at www.GourmetPape... or www.PaperMacheB... for more information about paper mache!

You are so amazing!!!! I used to sculpt and over the years I stopped because of having to work and then the days just weren't long enough to do art work after I came home. I am not working now, seeing you work has inspired me thank you.

As usual, absolutely love the vid's and usually watch them about 3-4 times, stopping here and there. (Took several stops to actually see the glue gun used on the teeth!) And boy does that tinfoil give a great look, especially highlighted! Really love the look of the circles!!

Hey Suz, That's funny. I wonder what else you see when you pause. I'm not very good about clearing up backgrounds. My workshop is pretty cluttered. Thank you! I added the lights because when I made the first Maleficent commission it was based on the Sleeping Beauty cartoon. The dragon had green light blazing from the eyes and mouth and nose. So that's why I put green l.e.d. lights in that trophy. I wanted to be consistent with this one, but the red lights make it more aggressive I think. Thanks for noticing! (If you are curious about the first sculpture I mentioned, you can see it on my blog. Just follow the link under the video.) Dan

Just WOW man!! Really cool stuff. I have always been into art and music. Actually got to tour the country for 3 years in a country band. I have since taken a desk job for the government but I have always been interested in special effects, monster making, makeup, etc... I made some really atrocious monster masks and things out of paper mache a long time ago for our home movies. HAHA. This is an unbelievable talent you got. I really enjoy seeing your work man.

@@mickierobinson5774 Hey Mickie. Yes, the smaller the space the more you need sheets that are well worn and pliable. You used to be able to get sheets like that at "thrift" stores. But I've noticed that these stores have now stopped selling the sheets that I like. I've tried to get them to sell me the sheets they consider too old to sell but they won't do it. Good luck! Dan
