I'd say for both of these videos, good job getting your points across. Many of them are valid criticisms of Prime. Some I don't fully agree with you, and that's quite fair. However, it's amazing how rabid some can be when objectively looking at a show you yourself don't care for.

I wouldn't have been surprised if Duskangels started their comment off with "To be fair you have to have a very high IQ to understand Prime."

I grew up on Prime and honestly- it has flaws, but I still love it, mainly the insight on decepticons. Knockout and Screamer are gold.

I don't like to call people __show biased because it is possible for people to have logical reasons for disliking things. I would not call you that, although people were not misunderstanding your feelings on Transformers Prime because of their own fault. After all, your original video did have a section for things you liked, to which you added, "Don't worry, this won't take long". People should not be so aggressive in the comments. I know that people look for different things when coming into a Transformers cartoon, so you don't always find what you are looking for. For you for example, one thing is that sound is very important. For some people they focus on humour, maybe action, some plot, and for me- characters. I like spending time with characters and seeing them go through pain and comfort, living together and being sassy- which is why I am also fond of Beast Wars and Rescue Bots. I remember seeing Transformers Prime for the first time, although now I have seen it... let's not talk about how many times hahaha. Each time I watched, I noticed more and more. It is a long show after all, and so younger me saw your first review and thought you knew right. But now I realize that there is a lot you missed, not because you aren't an "intellectual", but because that's just the way it is. My mistake being younger was that I focused so much on Starscream that I missed what was going on everywhere else. I think it can happen to anyone. Maybe too much Knockout for you? haha Depth is there, and it had me going, "Oh shit, so THAT is why ___ acts like ___". Lore does help with more, like if you knew Shockwave was Megatron's original second-in-command so that explains season 3 Starscream's behaviour. But that is for very specific things, and the show gives you most information itself. For example, I didn't even realize that Predacons were actual predators that ate bots, because I did not connect all the info given. I mean Predaking literally can track blood, the episode is called PREY, the Decepticons were scared of him at the start, the bloody name PREDAcon- and I still missed it all... The show is stuffed with info and you don't need the lore books to understand it (although the lore confirmed that Predacon thing for me). When I stepped back, I realized wow, there is more going on than I thought. This is why Starscream is animated with fearful body language in those scenes despite an angry voice. That is why he panicked initially to be left alone with Predaking. This kind of stuff is everywhere and not coincidence or me imagining things. I read comments all the time about people seeing what they want to see, and even a big TFP fan like me rejects a lot. I recognize the plot issue, but many can be mended by fan explanations (I do not consider the writers perfect, but we have enough to work with to fix it ourselves). I don't think many of your plot complaints are valid, but are missing pieces of info like the kind of things I missed myself once. But you are right like yeah, that tornado coming out of nowhere for June was lame af. But there aren't as many issues as expected, less than most shows I know. Then, such criticisms about like characters not having arcs or developing, well, I would not call that a matter of opinion because characters do have huge, clear changes in behaviour. Smokescreen, for example, impressive change. Starscream, big difference from season 1 to 3. Dreadwing and Predaking change their minds about the Decepticons. Even Ultra Magnus changes in the short amount of time he was around, growing closer to the team. Knockout's turning against Starscream is understandable, because if you look back at their interactions, Starscream was not a good friend. It accumulated and Knockout realized it. And the characters portray emotions extremely well in this show... even freaking Optimus, Ultra Magnus, Soundwave, and Shockwave XD. Yes, I will make videos for all these things I only wrote so much because you managed to see my last comment. Wanted you to see this too

I think that the cinematography or camera work or whatever in prime is really underrated. Just the way everything is framed and the movement of the 'camera' really gives you more visual meat to chew on. In my opinion 2d shows like animated are put at a bit of a disadvantage without this feature.

I think people love Transformers Prime so much because it's what fans have always clamoured for - a dark Transformers show with "classic" interpretations of Megatron and Optimus Prime going head to head every week. Personally, I found it mostly pretty boring, especially coming off the back of Animated. What was great about Animated was that you could describe the relationships the various characters had with one another in pretty good detail - Bumblebee and Prowl, Prowl and Bulkhead, Ratchet and Optimus, etc. I can't say the same thing about the cast of Prime, and that show went on considerably longer than Animated.

I like Prime more than almost any cartoon ever! Max Steel, Ben 10, certain anime, Transformers Siege and even Rick and Morty paled in comparison to the amzingness of TFP!

My least favorite part of Prime is the Vehicons. They replace actual Decepticons and Vehicons are never a threat. It makes everything boring. There’s no risk. Also the animation makes everything repetitive. It’s either a lame base, desert, or forest.

I remember getting so hyped whenever the intro plays sure it doesn't give you that hype or more than meets the eye type of thing but more of a feeling that the auto bots know they're at a feud with the decepticons after their planet became inhabitable due to the war but in the show their duty became more complex because they interact with humans knowing that they're a target as well for the decepticons but they're like we're gonna save and protect those in need then it quickly gets dark and shows you the decepticons wanting to fight and have both Optimus prime and Megatron collide a punch at the end it just felt so amazing

Knock Out was a great highlight and while Steve Blum’s Starscream sounded like Vilgax from Ben 10 and Green Goblin from Spectacular Spider-Man, he was fitting for Aligned Starscream, the theme while wasn’t the traditional theme but was pretty good, and yeah there were pretty good episodes. Yeah a flawed but not awful series. Great video as usual my friend! Also happy 10th Birthday to Animated!

here is my criticism of your opinion, on your thoughts of tfp, and rid, ( robots in disguise is the 1st transformers media that i remember consuming at the time i thought it was great because it was my first time watching transformers then i watched tfp veryt vividly and that was what truly brought me in into transformers ) so in my opinion the reason why you think rid is almost as good as tfp is because you didnt like predacons rising, if you liked predacons rising (i did) it made me very disliked rid spesificly because of the whole reviving optimus thing, i thought it was a good ending to the series and you problably did not (im making an asumption here) anyways i am running out of time to write this, btw you didn't make me dislike tfp at all

Prime, was fine, not perfect, not bad, just fine, nothing changes really, the season one and season 2's plots are pretty much the same, season 3 barely had any beasts, and Predaking was pretty much Dreadwing 2.0, Arcee is just terrible as a character.

I think Prime is overhyped. It's fine. It's probably in the top ten Transformers tv shows, and its got a lot of shippable content. But it's not perfect or even the best Transformers tv show.

100% agree about Knockout! He’s actually what got me interested in Prime. I saw a compilation of some of scenes and just had to see more. The first episode I watched was actually Thirst and it continues to be my favorite

The funny thing is that starscream's voice is just green goblin's from spectacular spiderman, but I found that out after finishing prime

I personally really liked Prime, but it had SO MUCH wasted potential, like Nemesis Prime, Orion Pax and many others. I just really wish that they would make something even better in the future. Maybe have it more violent, make one or two sequel shows (and make them actually good) and give it a better story. Over all, I'd give the show about 6/10.

I felt like some parts of the video were unnecessary. The beginning, just felt off. What attracted me to your prime review is the fact it set up the review in a serious and somewhat informal way. Having a montage/clips of the show and then proceeding right to the point. In this video, it just seems like you are trying to be funny, but for me it comes off as awkward (possible turn off for people who want to take your retrospective seriously). I felt like another big problem i have with this video is the entirety of the comment feedback section. I think you could have done better at displaying why there is such opposition to your video. From my perspective, it almost seems like you are dismissive (kind of) towards these peoples comments since you just skimmed through some of them or either that, only read a portion of what they said. I would have liked to see you completely read through these comments and counter their arguments. I would even suggest having a much lengthier portion of this section, rather than an unnecessary G1 Optimus skit/ Freddery cameo (no offense to Freddery). Despite how insane and retarded these comments can be XP, i know it can be tough. For the rest of your video, i enjoyed how you talked about RID for a bit, even though i was kind of getting lost in that portion. I felt you are still able to display good points just like the prime review. Overall, i think this video is mediocre at best. I like the prime review a lot and i certainly learned a lot. But for some reason, i feel like you could have spent more time and effort into the video.

While I don't agree with most of your points, I can definitely see where you're coming from. The show isn't perfect by a long shot. It didn't commit nearly enough to its tone, it had a lot of plot threads that didn't go anywhere, and it borrowed way too much from Stargate SG-1 for my liking. Despite how much I loved Prime, I appreciate the different perspective your review and retrospective brought to the table. Keep up the good work.

I really do like your opinion about Prime,the show itself its not bad it could have been better, it really has potential but hardly ever uses it. Like I said in your last video one of my biggest problems with the show is things were just too in control I really feel the cons were so soft like they really didn't have a purpose of why they are on Earth they barely did anything. The Autobots are always able to stop a master plan before it happens without hardly any consequences. I don't think the show is really serious as it seems, without any consequences or any real hard times, their is no realism or anything. I believe people over look these things because they are just happy to be spending more time with the robots unlike the Bay films.

For my TFP it was incredible, I loved it for many things, but that it is perfect, no, it is not at all but other things that have been rubbish throughout the transformers franchise, this series is among my top 5, and I agree with you the movie TFP PR was for me as if it did not exist and the end of the series is the last episode of season 3 and it is not because OP died (that scene in the seventh form was spectacular and more for the two symbolisms that there are spiritually), why you have to see that he has a total masochistic mania of dying if it is not necessary to see that throughout the total franchise he has died more than 27 times lol, if that movie left me so empty and with a bad taste in the mouth and without words in the bad sense that just remembering makes me angry. but well leaving that aside thanks for the video even though in many things I agree but in many things I don't.

10:15 disagree with me whatever you like to and call me a non human being, but I love 2 actors more than Blum as Starscream, the dead guy and Spongebob. First, I can't allow him or anyone to top Chris Latta. Chris Latta is like the best Starscream by any means, this guy knows how to make Starscream act funny and intimidating at the same time, he just gave the role so much character and great personality that it makes me sad he's been gone for 26 years. As for what I mentioned Spongebob, I mean Tom Kenny. I know I talk so much about this guy, but here's the thing; I'm glad you're an Animated fan like myself, but I like Tom Kenny more as Starscream for so many reasons, he made him act funny, intimidating, and so many more. He's like the first Starscream I ever known in this modern day. Now, don't get me wrong, Steve Blum is great...I love his voice, he's a great actor and everything, but I kinda wish his voice would've fit perfectly for Thundercracker or Skywarp, while Prime kept Tom Kenny around.

Your comparison of the ending of Return of the Jedi and Prime doesn't make sense because u ignored the fact that the two characters from Prime who had suffered and we're affected the most from Megatron's actions were Optimus and Bumblebee. Bumblebee had his voice ripped out personally by Megatron which left him permanently scarred. Megatron also attempted to kill RAF, his human partner. That's why it was so impactful for him to kill Megatron because he got to avenge not only himself but others who have been hurt by Megatron's Cruelty. Bumbleebee experienced it first hand. C3PO had no such personal connection with Darth Vader. Also Bro. Saying that something did it better is biased. For example let's compare Prime and RID... My only complaint about RID is that just like Prime It didn't live up to it's full(and I mean it to the extreme sense) potential. But it did not throw away their material like it didn't exist. Prime lived up more to it's potential than RID did. Where as RID certain conflicts and build up was resolved quicker than what this viewer would have liked. It still introduced something, used it and gave it a conclusion. This comparison is needless but I'm using it to show that Prime and RId were... Competent. Not incompentent. U definitely make it sound like this flaw made Prime and incompetent show. Which is probably not what u mean but u express it that way. Animated only feels like it lived up to it's potential because u love it and cuz it never tried to take any risks or do anything that stressed the writers. Well except the whole cybertronian politics in season 3 which were juicy but then never got resolved. I get it... It could've been more. But that's doesn't make Prime a bad show. Nor does it make RID a bad show. Maybe distasteful. But not bad.
