This song was influenced by the melody in the Power Rangers Character Select Menu Theme for the SNES! Not a lot of people have played the game but there will be few that'll recognize it. :)

If you haven't seen Red Line, this clip is only the opening scene. It just sets the scene for the madness that comes after. In some ways Red Line represents a pinnacle for anime as a medium.

@@Pantology_Enthusiast the whole movie is a metaphor. if you decypher it correctly, the ending is literally EVERYTHING it needs to be. at first I was really dissapointed as well, but then the whole thing hit me like a freighter

Redline will be remembered for decades as one of the best anime movies ever made, and one of the most satisfying experiences in the history of animation. I mean, it has alone built a standard for racing-themed cinematographic productions, in a way that if you're making a movie about a futuristic dystopian race and don't make it like that, it will probably just feel bland and slow. Seriously, watch this.

Can confirm. Redline is a satisfying experience, and before it, I never would've considered a racing movie to be exciting. Hollywood is (most likely) never going to be able to release something that's even half close as intense and endearing as Redline was.

Apparently Redline destroyed the carrier of it's director and nearly shut down the studio due to how much it cost. The response from the director? "Worth it" I can't say I disagree, if you gotta end your carrier somehow, there are few better ways.

The movie Redline becomes even more mind blowing when you find out that absolutely everything in the movie was hand drawn and then animated to make this masterpiece. Wish more anime looked this amazing but we all know it's unrealistic and will probably never be done again

Glad you said something... it was kind of this weird thing where I thought "oh no, don't ruin this song with a shitty sample" but before I could really let the thought escape, the sound morphed into the music and that part really stood out in a good way. I actually laughed to myself when I heard it, because I don't think I've ever been so surprised by a song. Brilliant.

Same! A former friend had destroyed Anime for me for like twenty years. Paradelous's music in the last few years helped me get over that issue and got me into watching Redline, Macross Plus, Evangelion the End and now gonna check out "Your Name" in near future. It's nice to enjoy Anime again.

there's no greater thrill than feeling the engine roar. seeing the world pass as a blur, risking death by pulling ever tight turns, drifting through places that spell disaster if you mess up. my brother took me drifting with him as a child. the panic as we would almost sideswipe trees (to me), hearing the engine growl and feeling the tires glide across the ground... A rush that is so pure, it should be illegal.

I love how the vehicles are constantly shaking and rattling, and when they activate those speed boosts, they buck wildly. Makes it feel like they're constantly milliseconds from either going catastrophically out of control, or just tearing themselves apart.

Fantastic work. The thing I love about the movie, and especially the music in this vid, is the feeling of retro-futurism. You could have told me this film was released in the 80s, or the late 90s, and I would never have been the wiser. Your use of synthesizers, gated reverb, and driving beat is perfection! This track hearkens back to a time of neon lights, glittering vehicles, and an open road stretching off into eternity. Thanks for the ride!

I'm going to buy it right here on the YouBoobs and watch it solely because of this video alerting me to its existence, and all the positive reviews I keep seeing of it; looks to be a classic in its own right one day for sure. Also, the protagonist (?) with the giant black hair reminds me of Vampire Hunter D from a side-angle when he looks all solemn and pretty.

@@preyfan that's why I love 80s racing so much. Also hope I can find a study for car design and make a last great car before they are banned.( Like normal cars) I wish I'd have my own car company with way to much money, I'd literally star making cars for the sake of making a car, not for profit.

Back watching this again, still the best AMV hands down. Only downside is it makes me want a remake of the movie rebuilt around a spine of this kind of music.

This pulls me in like New Tech, entrancing 80s thump with a building complex off beat. You play in so many nuances which really bring the music alive. I love the redline visuals, it is a solid experience you delight us with. Keep going, I always look forward to your work. The 2:26 de-tuned pull and 3:15 solo really pops for me. Rock on!

I'm trying to have my retro album get the same kind of energy that "New Tech" gave and put my best in every track to give it it's own individual identity. I plan to make an AMV for all retro tracks and others more often since I"m still practicing, plus for me it really brings out the music through completing the vision. So i just noticed a few non-scene transition things syncing up to the beat of the song, like objects gleaming to the snares, hoses twitching with the base, characters kicking off into the air to the guitars, or pressing buttons changing the tempo, and I thought I was going nuts, so I started documenting them. 2:32 *RB26 noises intensifies* Such a perfect source of rush! I love it, haven't heard any synthwave track like this since Lazerhawk's king of the street or Zombie hyperdrive's gigawatt that gives me such a carve to just go and have a joy ride in the night!!! I LOVE IT!
