I heard a pair today being driven by a Luxman SQ-N150 (11watt tube amp) and they sounded amazing.

I had a chance to listen to the personal 5f. This was the first time I feel in love with a speaker at first listen. I might have to check out the bookshelf since it’s more affordable for me.

it's all about the Beryllium , apparently best metal 4 dome metal tweeters , shame no sound test.

Covering only Soundstage isn't called a review let alone a first look. No frequency response, character of speaker, tonal responce?, nothing... Seriously?

the specs are on the company website. +/- 2dB from 60Hz - 45kHz As for the sound they sound similar to speakers with BE tweeter like focal. I own the vintage Yamaha NS-2000 and NS1000M which have both the BE tweeter and mid range. So character of speakers with BE tweeter would sound cool/smooth-simmering and detailed. If you have not listened to speakers with BE material then you are missing something..............Paradigm also have a ytube video showing their manufacturing process, this is a top speaker company.

Anyone that likes to judge speakers on looks .. rather than go listen to how they perform.. really doesn't grasp the concept of what this technology is designed for. .. Go find a dealer ..and be critical .. in front of them while they play music. Once you judge them A/B compare them to your known favs.. THEN .. say something. It's just a speaker.. sure.. but listen to them .. only then is your opinion valid. =)

Esthetics are a factor, especially at this price point there is no excuse.

So what would you guys recommend for something that sounds close to the Paras, for a lot less cost? I love Paradigm speakers, and currently own some, but the Personas are way out of my price range...Cheers!👍

Used Paradigm Studio 20 v3,v4 or v5 can be had for around $300 to $500 and are great bookshelf speakers. B&W CDM1 are excellent also. For floorstanders you could go with any of the older Paradigm Monitor series or Studio Reference series or PSB Stratus Silver or Gold. Also Monitor Audio Silver or Gold. Energy Veritas are also excellent. Of course I am talking used from your local online classified ads. I've had B&W CDM7 SE's is dark cherry as my mains for over 20 years and never wanted anything else. Maybe the odd time when getting a little crazy I would have liked to have a set of Paradigm Studio 100's up front for a little more oomph haha, but I still prefer my B&W's because they are so refined sounding :) Lastly haha, I see a guy has a pair of Paradigm 30th Anniversary "Inspiration" in mint shape on Canuck Audio Mart for $3300. They are fantastic looking and have the beryllium tweeter.

"Speaker covers". Ehhh... more like safety covers. 18mg/kg is the deadly dose for Beryllium. But the acoustic properties are just insane (compared to Ti & Al).

Maybe they look better in person, but I really dislike the look of these. They have a plastic vibe - like blown up computer speakers from the 90s. Even if I could spend that kind of money on speakers, it wouldn't be these for the looks alone.

They look a LOT better in person. I have seen the entire line of these (albeit briefly), and although not my style, they are gorgeous, and superbly built.

I sell Paradigm and of course their flagship Persona Series. They are brilliant, both sonically and aesthetically. The Persona B is $8200.00 per pair, in Canada.

@@BinaryReplicant I heard one of the larger brothers of this speaker, and MAN was it engulfing! (only a very brief session, mind you).
