Parallel Drum Compression with M32 & Waves Multirack

5 жыл бұрынIn this video, I'm going to show you how to use some unconventional routing to achieve a stereo bus parallel drum compression on the M32 utilizing Waves Multirack!
I had a ton of fun setting this one up and the results were pretty mind blowing! As with all Waves processing, be mindful of the load you're putting on your CPU, especially if you're using this with Multirack Native like I am.
This technique can be used to process any bus you want. I considered doing this for Reverb & Delay as well, but losing 6 channels for parallel compression, reverb, and delay, was just too much which is why I opted for the aux-in remap set up for Reverb & Delay. Way more simple with the new firmware 4. No need to use this trick.

Can you expand on how firmware 4 makes this more simple? I know they change to user based routing, but afaik you still can't select a bus as your source for a channel (even in user routing) It's totally possible I'm missing something and I'd love to know a new trick! :D

@@ChurchTechTalks with point to point routing yeh you don't have to dedicate a whole layer to your plugin return.

@@tidjof user routing only allows you to select from AES50A, AES50B, Card, and AUX inputs. I don't believe you can select a bus as the source for a channel.

Muzz this works if you don’t want to use Waves, but you can’t use Waves by doing this as waves will still see the original source.
