NIce lesson Bart... if you ever do another video like this, i'd like to see an example of a corkscrew out where you fly to a field there is no doubt you can reach but if you are too high just circle just outside the field until you burn off your altitude and then land.

@@BartBerry I think this technique is a bit safer for new pilots like me - it might help prevent landing just short of a field you "thought" you could make.

Personally, several of the roads/ driveways as long as there are NOT LINED BY POWER POLES, or palm trees... saves that long walk out... and a farmer with a 12ga and pit bulls! Definitely not near water down here, that usually includes gators in our area!

Gators and pit bulls !!!! Brother you got a whole other set of factors to consider when it comes to safe bailouts lol I just may have to walk a ways... you could get eaten.... lol 😆

It’s funny how everybody assumes that engine is the only thing keeping you from plummeting to earth lol. I didn’t think glide ratio changed with wing loading. I thought it just changed your speed. Is that wrong?

No you are absolutely right the distance it will glide point A to point B will not change with weight, ya just get there faster thank you..
