A brand new original song based around Sir Pentious, featuring originally created backing music, sound design, voice acted story and artwork.
What better way the send off the year than with a little bit of chaos? Sir Pentious has always been a hoot in his design, mannerisms, and his overall nature as a cartoon villain. Yet, like many of the Hazbin characters who are awaiting their turn in the spotlight, there is some serious intent behind his evil given the devastation he is capable of causing. I wanted to tap into that potential with this track, adding in more comedic elements compared to normal while also making it clear that he is determined to make people see what he can do.
To that end, the track features a lot of combined elements to really sell Pentious' dual nature as a soul from the past but one who is keen to tinker and embrace the modern in his quest for domination. Classical instruments and music motifs punctuate damaged-sounding machinery, drum libraries and synths to show that fusion of the two. Having Cycoriot come back to lend their voice to what many consider to be Pentious' rival in Cherri was a no brainer and I'm once again super thankful for them helping me out.
This track has also had an astonishing amount of INCREDIBLE artwork made for it, with many of the artists who generously agreed to take part being names I have admired from afar in the community since before I even started making comic dubs. I urge and insist that you all reach out to them at their links listed below and shower them with all the compliments and praise they deserve for not only this project, but all of their other brilliant talents as well.

He's been dead since 1888, and yet he's managed to survive every last purge to the time of the present in spite of being a relative nobody in the hierarchy of hell. This is even more impressive in the context of his constant attempts at taking over hell for who knows how long, and the fact that he's somehow managed to avoid gaining the attention of the Overlords, Goetia Nobles, the Seven Deadly Sins, and Lucifer himself makes it genuinely amazing that he's survived for so long considering how much danger his lifestyle could get him in.

He can be very powerful, he just needs a lot more set up time than he was giving himself for the targets he went after. His blimp I'm sure was extremely dangerous, but the only two people we see him actually target with the big laser thing are Alastor and Adam. Which both proceeded to immediately destroy it with barely a thought, Adam even says that it could've been a problem if he was hit by it.

With how season 1 ended, I'm REALLY hoping for an episode where he gets to talk about his past exploits and maybe, just maybe, we'll get another song from him. Don't get me wrong, the duet with Charlie was precious, but where he is now, I REALLY want to have the opportunity to explore more of his "evil" through some cool flashbacks. It'd make a nice contrast (also, being vague on purpose for those who haven't watched)

This was perfect for Sir Pentious. Something tells me that his eccentric genius, or at least his gift for building and engineering, was never appreciated when he was alive. Now in the afterlife, he's free to show everyone just what he can do and that he can be a force to be reckoned with. Overall, a great song and nice little addition with Cherri.

I always got the impression that you can tell a lot about sinners by their names. Sinners who are truly evil are ones who keep their human names, the ones more vulnerable are the ones that change their names to separate themselves from their past lives. And those names reveal something about that vulnerability. Edward gets angry whenever anyone addresses him by that name and demands to be called Sir Pentious. It’s a pompous and showboating name that’s supposed to sound cool. Angel Dust is named after a drug, probably a drug that defined him in some way in life. Husk is a jaded and emotionally damaged man. Alastor knows who he is and has never once been ashamed of it so he owns his past life because it defines who he is, Alastor the Serial Killer.

I love Sir Pentious' storyboard in the tv show. He's just an unappreciated man who wants to be seen as a genius rather then a failure. Gives out small hints on how he'd be redeemed, with the Hazbin Hotel characters respecting his work and supporting him rather then ignoring him and shoving his work off like most when he was alive and as he is dead.

Love how every other character besides Alastor either put on a face or are just depressed. While Penious constantly fails yet the song catches exactly how he relishes in gloating over his superior intellect as an inventor and lord who conquers. Plus Cherri Bomb bothering him. Even his comedic side with her is in the song, taking everything literally and missing the joke, love it. Captures all we know about him as a classic villain who loves his vile genius on display to subjugate those he sees as lesser fools for looking down on him. Also his contradictory boast of refinement and class is fun when his entire plan is boorish slaughter and conquest. I can hear in the chorus melody a quiet singing. That image though is really stylish and awesome. That purple, the claws, his ringed ring eyes and the hat with a curved jaw. Plus his little goggles on the hat. The art really catches the shape and form of everything.

When you look at it pentious whould make for a great dark reflection to charlie because they have the same Motivation: They want to prove themself. They want to step out of the shadow and prove their place in the world, while trying to accomplice this goal, they are constantly made fun of by almost everyone. I think their dynamic whould be interesting as they whould actually understand each other perfectly and i imagin pentious whould try to act as if he's charlie's "Arch enemy" only to become a "uncle" or "father" figure to her, which whould be adorable.

"But it's barely 5:30!" Oh my gosh this was so much fun to listen to! I don't think there was a moment where my body wasn't moving to the beat! While we still know very little about our snek boi, this certainly feels like a Sir Pentious song! You've really captured the sort of personality I think the show is gonna go for. His inventions don't always go to plan, or are never given the chance to, yet despite his failures he keeps trying anyway! He never gives up, and I can respect that. I love how so attentive the details are, the hissing with every S, as well as the use of phrases Pent said in the pilot! Also, freaking loved that rap battle between Pent and Cherri. For an old man he knows how to stick to a beat! Riot nailed it once again as our friendly neighborhood firecracker! Another bop to add to my ever-growing playlist. Fantasssstic as always, DJ!

Gods damn, mate. The fact that you can not just voice, but also sing as, all of these characters--and do it very well!--is one hell of a testament to your range and vocal talents. And each of your songs are just wonderful and fit the characters so well. With this song, I particularly like the mixing of the classical harpsichord with the more modern electro beat. And the structure of starting with the electro slowly coming up to mix with the solo harpsichord fits so well for a character like Pentious. Even though the modern, techno style is being applied, it comes from an anachronistic genre seems exactly in keeping with Pentious' style. And I have to give praise to Riot, who is always a delight to hear as Cherri! The two of you always play off each other so well, especially here with the particular tension between Cherri and Pentious. I really look forward to the next time you two collaborate!

I love this so much. The proper speech, the hysterical laughter, the classical vocabulary and evocative language, the electrical re-imagining of the horror harpsichord; plus the silent movie screens really evoke the time period . A true masterpiece that I must have listened to dozens of times already. The art is also top tier, very hypnotic/mystic madman on the edge of early science.

SSSSWEET!!! That is definitely a song worthy of the Victorian snake inventor. The voice acting of he and the egg bois, the included bits of his arch rival Cherri Bomb, the literal mix of technopop and Victorian themed music, and the breathtaking artwork. You never disappoint Paranoid DJ, you managed to bring the venom out of this snake with your flawless creation. I definitely can’t wait for the next one. How do you make such amazing songs that perfectly fit a character's personality, even if they haven't had lines yet like Vox? OK, where do I even start with this masterpiece? You perfectly mashed harpsichord with techno! I love the sound effects of Sir Pentoious's emotions throughout this - the rattling when he's yelling at the egg bois and the constricting sounds where he talks about his death grip. "It's time for your six o'clock pummeling!" "But it's barely five-thirty!" I was wheezing, that is SO in-character for him...🤣 The main thumbnail art is epic but I love the sassy art of him slaying in the rap battle. The egg bois keeping score of shots fired is adorable. 😍 OK this is awesome. 👏 Keep up the amazing work!

The epic rap battle between Cherri and Pentious was a wonderful exchange, along with the classical instrument sounds added in! One of my favorite parts (and this goes for your other songs) is the mini story you include in the beginning, it shows the dynamic between characters and sets the stage perfectly for the song itself to begin. I like the reference to Jack the Ripper with the “Leather Apron” line. Jack the Ripper used to be called “Leather Apron” before the Dear Boss Letter gave him the name.

Okay, THAT WAS FIRE 🔥 I’m not the biggest Sir Pentious fan, like he isn’t even in my top ten, the egg bois have him beat but DUDE THIS WAS EPIC!!! That art of him was STUNNING, the lyrics and music was AMAZING! I looooved that the egg bois had their dopey vibes in here, LOVED the Pop! Cherri Bomb references during her part and that she came to play again, AND that they started having a little rap battle there haha. AMAZING JOB ALL AROUND, definitely gonna have this song stuck in my head for a while! Kudos to you and everyone else that put this masterpiece together! I’m so happy that I finally got to experience a ParanoidDJ masterpiece when it first comes out ❤ brilliant work

I'm a HUGE fan of the 1800s and victorian era. And this song is DRIPPING of the Victorian dream. And the struggle that sometimes came with it. Sir pentious is a gentleman who longs to make a name for himself and leave a literal mark. He's an inventor.... Something that was VERY common in that area. This song has made my love for this character bloom❤️.

I hope Sir Pentious becomes a recurring, increasingly threatening villain. Think about it. The Overlords are limited to their powerbase and whatever hellish magic they can conjure. An Artificer is limited only by materials and time, and Pentious has both.

The "Leather Apron" reference was clever. For anyone coming across this, the capital letters give it away as more than just any butcher's apron he's referencing: this was one of the earlier names given to the Whitechapel Murderer (eventually "Jack the Ripper," thanks to the eponymous letter).

No one has mentioned that it is Sir Pentious, as in he was knighted or was born into nobility. As he has a semblance of honor, I would say knighted, most likely as a soldier or inventor, (those are NOT mutually exclusive), and we need more backstory for the glorious snake boy.

I have a theory on this; In the UK at the time it was a common practical joke to send letters to people claiming some foreign noble had knighted them. The poet William McGonagall was a victim of one such hoax. He was sent a letter claiming that the King of Burma had made him a knight of the "Order of the White Elephant". The Order of the White Elephant is a real order of chivalry, but of Thailand, not Burma. I expect an enemy of Pen pulled one such hoax on him, claiming he'd been bestowed a knighthood by some fictitious Indian rajah. In my fanon he was born Balthazar Penton in Staffordshire in the 1840s. After earning degrees in mechanical and civil engineering at Oxford he took a job at the Midland Railways' Derby Works constructing locomotives. He did not enjoy his time at Derby, becoming suspicious of his colleagues and attempting to sabotage their own work in revenge for perceived slights and insults. At the earliest opportunity he emigrated to India to work on engineering projects there. The natives and fellow British expats took to calling him "the Cobra" because he was seen as untrustworthy and treacherous; but Penton thought the comparison was a compliment instead of an insult because he knew of the positive connotations of cobras in some cultures, notably ancient Egypt. After returning to the UK he started his own company, with its main works in Stafford and an office in London. This vision of Hell seems to connect to The Law of Attraction. If you take Hell that way, it's not a Punishment, but exactly what would make a corrupt soul happy. Alestor seems to get this dynamic. Sir Pentious is having the time of his afterlife. So many happy people in Hell. The only actual torment seems to be dealing with each other..
