Vessel rolled slowly due to it being very heavy, after dragging it up on a sandbar I was able to successfully pump it out.

Those twin Hondas are beauts'. Wish I had a big H on my boat.

Yes, very good job indeed! If only your videography skills were as good…..

That was just with an ipad, it kept falling, and it can’t handle vibrations because the whole boat shakes. Now I run 1080-4k dash cams & a go pro 360.

First thing good work on the flip. Now my question. Why do you wait so long to let the stern line feed? I realize you're letting water out of the boat., but kinda overly cautious in my mind.

Usually quicker, but there was about 1,000 lbs of junk piled on one side that wouldn’t allow it to level so I had to gradually let it out or it would’ve fallen back over.

Oops came up as a different video I was thinking of the one offshore.. This is a catamaran, and all the water was on the far side, the more time it has to level & drain the less likely it is to fall back over when I lengthen the line.

How the heck did that tub sink to begin with?

Usually the pie plate is underwater, because everyone over powers them, that or leaky thru hull fittings, or broken water lines for baitwells etc. Most have one small bilge pump per side, if it fails it only has to fill up one side to roll..

Lines were too short. Prop wash was working against you.
@CaptainRetriever8 ай бұрын
The opposite is true. You need to prop wash to keep it in place & roll it otherwise you just build speed, and the boat walks to the side with the shorter line. This is just a heavy boat, and requires a slower approach to allow water to run out.

I’ve never done this but I would think the prop wash that close can’t help?

Yes, it will usually just drag sideways if you are not close enough.. Not enough rotational leverage with just the water's resistance.
