pull from front would have been a whole lot easier , a lot easyer. unless you was trying to stand it up some first .

@ScottAbgekurtzСағат бұрын
It works better if you pay out more line.
@CaptainRetrieverСағат бұрын
@@ScottAbgekurtz it doesn’t. I one had a smaller cuddy cabin that refused to roll, we didn’t have it close. Put it in close and it flipped right over. Little flats boats & stuff flip right over, anything with more structure requires a more work, finesse, & leverage.

It works even easier with a Big Sportfishing boat doing the pulling. We always just pull the smaller boats drain plug then pull the boat up on a plain. I'm impressed they were able to do it with the 2 small engines without spinning a hub.

Lines should have been another 20ft longer. Wake is pushing against hull, slowing forward thrust by at least half. Understands the method but technique is totally wrong.......putting twice the load on fixed points, could easily have snapped losing vessel, injury to crew.

I would have though a longer line would have been critical as the prop wash looks to be working against the process but I guess it could also create an area of aerated water, which could cause that side to sink a bit more and in the process help with righting the boat… 🧐 Very interesting and the captain def knows their stuff!

The protection around the motors is probably needed for the work but it's a great idea & wouldn't hurt to be on your average recreational weekenders boats

When I was a kid I saw a man in a boat get stuck on a sandbar.... He raised up his engine till it was barely in the water, turned the engine full in one direction then gave it gas...... The boat started turning creating a "well" then after 3 full circles he straightened the engine and got off of the sandbar.

Creating centrifugal force causing the water to leave the hull and refloating the boat. Gradual release of the aft tow line when sufficiently empty to tow in a streamline! Parbuckle1 I'll remember that name now!

Boats are crazy unlike a car that you’ll learn to drive at 15 or so and have your license by 18. And will never be able to afford a premium car for years. Before you step foot in one On a boat you could be from a land locked place your whole life and never touch a boat. Win the lotto and but the biggest fastest yacht around and become the captain without any training
