I naturally lean towards authoritarian in early child life, but combine it with warmth, my son doesn't think so. However, I know authoritarian is not good for child because I think that there are societal rules that need to be broken, so I don't want my son to just follow human societal rules. Trying to be authoritative but my teenage son wants to do his own thing, rebelling against discipline, depends on child's personality. My daughter was so different from my son, she's 20 an adult, very sweet girl. I think I coddled her too much and perhaps restraint her exploration side. This video explains it well.
