Oh yeah? Bipolar and borderline is a personality disoder result of bad parenting and emotional neglect. Tell me how good parets they are so why their only daugther was negleted and abused to the point she has personality desoder? And still those breeders are playing victim and superparents in public

Parents give up because they are instructed to do so by the counselors and addict sponsors. You cannot help an addict reach rock bottom, they need to get there themselves and parents cannot keep enabling them by trying to save their lives. It’s a very sad situation for all but mostly the family who struggle to help the addict. The addict is typically so far into their addiction that they don’t care who they hurt in the process. For some rock bottom is death and the poor family will suffer the loss until their final days. Addicts are very very selfish. I pray they find Jesus

It is what it is Yeah sadly at some point it has to be the addict’s choice. As a parent I would offer my adult child rehab ONCE, then I would let go until he wants help again. Otherwise, we cannot have a relationship. Thank God my son isn’t an addict, hopefully never will be.

Jail isn't the solution, it's a consequence. And, it's a safe place where she cant get high for a while where recovery could possibly begin or stick. Even tho addicts are stick they also aren't absolved of the crimes they've committed to support their addictions. They still made decisions and have to pay consequences and jail is often one of them. I know people who've gotten into recovery beginning with jail or prison. It doesn't work like that for everyone but the alternative is staying out on the streets playing Russian roulette. Most exhausted loving parents would rather have their kids in jail knowing they're fed, monitored and offered resources by "the system".

@Alexandra Feodorovna unfortunately not everyone is eligible for detox/rehab... And sometimes jail is the only option, to get sober. I'm assuming since the police dont even want to help that she is not eligible for detox or rehab and they know that and know that jail isn't the answer and chances are she will only be angry and probably get out and relapse

I would have to question what kind of parenting neglect leads a child to such depths. Obviously the parents weren't great at all. They were absent parents, self absorbed and seflish. Now, they are trying to point the finger/scapegoat the child. makes them feel better about themselves they have someone to blame for their own problems. that's how dysfunctional families work.

You never know what goes on behind closed doors, though. Addiction is usually a family disease. I do commend these parents for their efforts. Just saying...there is often family dysfunction. These folks seem like stand-up people, though, ready to take responsibility for their part in things, and do the work to get her well, if she cooperates. That is outstanding.

The thing is that the father is supposed to be a priest for the family, filtering the information that the growing kids are being exposed to, and taking smart care not to get admired by the.trends in order to devaluate the bad influences in the children perception, begging the Creator, the Lord Almighty, for help, wisdom and guidance. If this is a couple eventhough old.struggling together for their daughter you dont want to imagine the hell a single mother has to struggle in a similar situation. Not having God in the.center of the family is even harder, but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Phillipians 4:13). Let's just remember in the Bible the anecdote when Josué said "my house and me will serve the Lord". Believe me there's the best advantage by depending.and serving the.God who created us, who gives to all of us Life and Breath and everything (Acts 17:26). May God bless you and help, in Jesus name, amén.

And mom and dad, this is not your fault. I’m an addict and would never blame my parents for MY choices that got me to where I am today. My mother wouldn’t spend 5 mins with me on her mind, never mind out looking for me trying to save me. Kate is damn lucky and I hope she soon realizes

I thinks that's why this hurts so much. I'm lucky, I did have a very strong mother, at least, that watched me like a hawk and was strict with me. I feel so sorry for these parents. I’ve been there. Unfortunately, my son passed from a fentanyl od at 21. What most people don’t realize (and I didn’t either until I “witnessed” it myself) is that opioids are so strong that after using for a short time it actually rewires the brain and makes them basically a slave to the drug. My son thought he could control his use but he was young and naive when he started - 19 yrs old. He was a 3rd yr engineering student, Eagle Scout, was in the gifted program in grade school and middle school and then AP classes in high school. Was always upbeat and positive, had a family that loved him and plenty of friends. It just doesn’t matter. When he told me he dreamed of the drug in his sleep it sent chills down my spine. Why more isn’t being done while we have kids overdosing everyday, I don’t know. I pray this father can save his daughter and not become one of the thousands who have lost their precious children

It’s amazing the depths of the earth a parent will go to to save their children.. My mother never ever gave up on me and am so thankful that she raised my son when I wasn’t capable of even raising myself! So blessed that I made it out alive... My son just turnt 21 and my daughter 14 I’m so lucky I got to raise them and be a present mother but none of that would of ever been possible without my mother sacrificing her own physical and mental health to just make sure that I was simply alive every night... Maybe their daughter can’t see it now but one day she will see and acknowledge that they were her saving grace and until that time may the lord be with them both and keep their precious baby alive xxx 🙏🏼💖🙌🏼💞

Great job Mal! The Brooklyn streets got hold of my older brother (11 years older than me) in the 70’s at a very young age. He was a strong young buck who murdered, sold and eventually started using drugs (heroin). During his life, he killed, had been shot and stabbed (multiple times) and spent half of his life in and out of prison (Sing Sing). My mother was a strong, tough single parent. As hard as she tried, she couldn’t save him. As mean and strong as he was, he ended up contracting and succumbing to HIV/AIDS in 80’s. I had to make the hard decision to eventually stop his life support. He was 37. He was a ‘hard rock”, but very protective of his “lil brother”. It’s because of him and his experiences that I’m alive and thriving today. I will be 60 this fall. Keep helping her parents fight the good fight. Peace

I don't even have children but I can't imagine how painful this is to parents. A child is a little piece of you, little piece of your body, a little piece of your mind, a little piece of your soul and your love. When they feel good and they are happy, you are happy and you feel good, when they hurt and they are in pain, you are in pain, because they are part of you, they are your world and your pride and your joy. I am rooting for these parents to save their little daughter, by saving their baby they save themselves, but I also know what hardcore drugs do to you. Being addicted to hardcore drugs is like being in love with someone who you know will one day stab you and kill you, you just don't know what day that will be because they always show you love and make you feel good and then one day just stab your heart and kill you.

I went to jail back in 2016 for stabbing my ex. I was high on meth and weed and up for days. He was being me up and I defended myself but I'm the one who went to jail. Got realised 12/2016. Relapse 4 times and Oct.1, 2018 I had enough, that bag of meth I did was a bad batch. My tongue swelled up. I had tingles going threw both arms, I know then it was time and by the grace of God I went to rehab. I got out of jail with only a tote of clothes, I've gained in the 4 years in out, a house, electric, gas, cable, food, not in the best neighborhood but it's mine I also gained furniture for my house it took me four years to get to where I'm at today I pray for all those that are still out there on the streets it's one of my morning routines I say my prayers for everybody I pray that that family that was on your video today finds their daughter and gets her help I praye her daughter will go and get help. I never understood why I was like this... Theres prob a route cause but at the end of the day... My children deserve better of me as do my parents. Capri thank you friend. I’m a recovering addict, but from the other side I can’t imagine what these folks are facing as parents. No judgment, just love and prayers, it took me years to get myself together, I have faith and BELIEVE the girls will get it together too. We can all help, we can all support, we can all pray. It IS possible to beat this monster, we can do it together. ❤️❤️

Yes these parents are the best, My parents never tried to help me when I was stuck in addiction. My parents didn't love me the same after they found out I was a disgrace to my family. I'm now 7 years clean 4 years since I dedicated my life to the Lord and I don't speak to anyone in my family.

I was an addict just like this, and I need this father to know, it is NOT your fault. My grandma raised me right, did everything absolutely right, I had a wonderful childhood and I still ended up doing drugs for 10 years. She never gave up on me, and now I'm 3 years sober with a 3 year old and a wonderful boyfriend, with my grandma still by my side, I'm absolutely blessed and so is Kate, I'm praying for her and her family every day and I believe in her. I know she can get through this! ♥️

I hope they can save her. This is a parents nightmare. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, for helping this family, even more so for ALL that you do. Addiction starts as a choice, but ends up as a disease. A parents job is a life long journey of bad, good, ugly, and beautiful bumps along the way. Never give up the hope or love, for at the end of the day, we are all human!!! Much love and respect...

Much love and respect and luck to these two wonderful parents. My younger sister struggled as a minor and the authorities would do nothing unless my mom gave up custody of Ashley. At that point they promised they would keep my mom in the loop and make sure she was gonna get the best treatments. Like this dad said they sent her places she only met worst people. She got to be 18 and hooked up with these people she met in placements. Our mom passed away of cancer when Ashley was 21, that's when she finally realised she has no one to fall on. She has been great since. I hope something changes for this family before it's to late. 🌈💚💛❤️☘️

By the grace of God I have 13 1/2 months sober after winding up in a five week long coma and spending ten days on life support and having two brain surgeries! I pray for all of the people still struggling with addiction because it hurts not just the addict but everyone around them. My boyfriend who isn’t an addict saved my life and we’re still together today and will have 7 years in November! I wish Randy luck in getting Kate the help she truly needs I just wish I could help somehow!! I don’t want anyone to go through the stuff I went through it isn’t worth it!!!! My son was missing in Dayton Ohio for 3 months addicted to meth and almost died from fentynol. He was just living on the streets getting high and overdosed a couple times. He is now in treatment, and I am so very thankful to God for answering my prayers. He was arrested with possession and a warrant. And thank God he was. I'm praying this will be the last time. The third time is the charm, right?? I pray for these peoples daughter and for them. Its so agonizing and heartbreaking. She's young enough to start fresh and it can happen!

I REALLY appreciate how he sticks by his daughter in her desperate time of need. Clearly we don’t know their back story but I can appreciate his pursuit of helping her (without knowing his intentions). Regardless, if this is genuine - they’re only trying to help her reach sobriety - god bless them. I’m sorry for both you and you daughter for this god awful disease that dictates and manipulates individuals into this controlling disease. No one deserves this, you are truly pure.

It took me 5 years to say yes to go to rehab. I’m a bipolar as well. And without medication and a good support system it’s almost impossible to get out. Kate is very lucky to have these parents fighting for her. Hopefully one day she will see when and if she ever gets sober how much they love her. Then maybe when she does she can give back and help people just like herself. I do and it’s very rewarding to help save a life 💕

This dad and mother are real parents! This is what REAL parents do!! And not giving up on your children or anyone you love is unconditional love if you truly love someone it should be without conditions and ultimatums!! That's one of the things I truly can't stand about the show intervention they bully and scare the addicted family member to go into treatment, they are not going for treatment on their own and because they want to be clean and sober and it usually leads to leaving treatment very early or finishing and doing good for a short time and then eventually relapse!! Props to this father and mother for not giving up on their daughters. God bless 🙏

She won’t get clean until she wants to. That’s a fact. Also I respect the fact that he’s willing to take some responsibility for how she has turned out. Too many parents refuse to accept any blame. The addict makes the choices, but the tools they use to make those decisions, are learned while they’re growing up.
