Never apologize for how you feel when going through something like this. Losing/forgetting your purse/handbag can happen and it is an earthshattering feeling of panic, doom, loss and upending of any sense of self security. I am so glad that they had your bag safe and you were able to recover it. It is the same in any part of the world, 1st, 2nd, 3rd or off planet in Alpha Centari.....no woman feels "meh" when losing their bag (or any other person). Love, love, love your fashion week content. I realized that I lost my cell phone, on Friday, after waking up. I freaked because that is my communication tool with work, the family, and the world. I felt like I was on 'mute' and 'naked'. Needless to say, the phone was not found. I bought two cell phones yesterday. If I lose my main one, at least I have a backup one at home.

I'm so glad you got your bag back, and I agree the brand doesn't matter. It's your item. I did the same thing but realised within minutes and ran back to find it exactly where I had left it. I was watching the Stella McCartney show and saw Michael filming; I stopped the video and said aloud, ‘There’s Michael’, lol-another great video; why do I always want to see more? Thank you, Karen and Michael. ❤

Omg!!! I was at Target and left my wallet sitting in the chair outside of the dressing room. I had just picked up rent from my tenants in cash. By the time I got to the register my heart stopped. Me and my kids ran so fast to back of the store to the fitting room. Thank goodness it was still there! Karen my heart had stop beating for you! Thank goodness for a happy ending 😅

Hi Karen, so glad you got your bag back!!!! I always keep my purse on my lap when I’m in a restaurant for many reasons. Also when up and about that’s why I love any bag or purse that has a crossover strap. It doesn’t take much to distract us. 👠❤️🇨🇦

That was so much fun Karen. But my heart fell when you lost your bag (purse)!! That’s one of the worst feelings for a women is to lose her bag. Especially in a foreign country & a new bag to boot, horrifying. Glad as is well & you look marvelous, proud British-American💪🏾

Forgetting a handbag is a scary feeling no matter what kind of bag or the cost of the bag. I'm really glad that you got it back. Close call. Really close call. Always keep it on your lap. Back in my mid-20s, in the summer of 1980, a male friend and I had just left the Louis Vuitton boutique on the Avenue Monceau in Paris. He had bought a handbag to bring back to surprise his mom and I had bought the crossbody Chantilly bag (less than $150 back then). After we had taken photos of me and my new bag, in front of the LV boutique, we went to the restroom around the corner which was one of the underground ones. Well, I hung my new bag on a hook, but forgot it when I left the restroom. As we were walking down the street, it hit me that I didn't have my new LV bag, but only my LV shopping bag with my old, non-LV handbag inside of it. I suddenly had a "Yikes" moment and ran back to the underground restroom and thank goodness my new LV bag was still hanging on the hook. Whenever I look at that old photo of me and that bag, I still think of how I might not have had it or my belongings any longer. My money, passport, and AmEx card were inside and I travel solo and it was also back when the internet didn't exist. But, for decades of overseas travel, since the 1970s, I have always taken along an official copy of my brith certificate, an old passport, and two copies of my current passport in case something happens and the current passport is stolen. At least I have photo ID. Plus, I take along more than one credit card, but leave one in a safe. I've had more than a few close friends who have dealt with stolen passport/credit card situations over the decades and it was no fun for them to get their passports replaced. As for carrying around one's passport while out, it's needed to have the tax free papers filled out when shopping as the days of accepting a copy of one's passport are long gone. And as for leaving it in a hotel safe, I stopped doing that the day that I was on my way back to my hotel only to find out that the laundromat next to it had caught on fire and my block was blocked off with the fire department there. Another, "Yikes" moment. Greetings from Los Angeles

It is a horrible feeling when you realise you have left your bag behind...and a Birkin! OMG dont apologise! That would send anyone into absolute panic! How wonderful of the cafe and whoever found it to keep it safe... Loved the fine, see through shirt dress and wide legged jeans! The line for that cafe...is now so busy because of Emily in Paris...i believe...not because of the famous writers and philosophers that uses to go there, but because of bloomin Emily in Paris! My heart sank when I saw the terror and panic in your eyes and heard it in your voice. If you’ve never experienced leaving your purse or backpack with all your critical essentials, your entire life inside you don’t quite understand. All the emotions and panic you feel in that moment are simply overwhelming. I did the very exact thing at a high profile luncheon in San Francisco speaking with dignitaries after the event. I've done it before too. I left my wallet in an Uber one day and two days later left my phone at Target. I got them both back which proves there really are some good people out there. So happy you got yours back too namesake.❤

I am so glad you got your bag back; I can relate to the panic since it happened to me a while back. Love the hair and all your looks, and thanks for taking us behind PFW. OMG how awful! I'm SO glad you found your bag. My habit--just sharing in case it's helpful--is that I look back EVERY time I get up from a seat. It's really just reflexive at this point. Leaving a cab, the subway, a restaurant, etc. Just a quick look back saves everything from umbrellas to sunglasses to purses. Also, that Akris look is stunning! And yes, you are ABSOLUTELY going to go to the Hermès show!

@CarlaWills - I do the very same after losing a few quite sentimental😢 luxury gifts by rushing & not looking after exiting a Metro North train from Manhattan. Put in reports, kept checking when at Grand Central station but they were never handed over to lost & found. Didn’t care about price- I could’ve easily replaced- it was the sentimental value that mattered most to me as they were very thoughtful gifts💔. Lesson learnt the hard way! I’m so glad Karen found her handbag! Regardless of price, what a nightmare to stop credit/debit cards, replace all other ID! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️🏍🦋
