Hi Julia ! I am french flight attendant based and living in Paris . I agree that it is sooo crowded at the Opera area this time of the year. Next time don’t hesitate to go to Le Marais which is a very cute neighborhood with less people.

Having been to Paris a few times, my favorite time of the year to visit Paris is during the Christmas holiday. The lighting and decorations around the city are just stunning. It truly is beautiful to see and take photos.

Oh, my favorite time to be in Paris, is August. Very warm, perfect weather for doing so many things outdoors. Especially the outdoor cafes. European cities come alive even more at night, beginning at 10 pm., especially Paris.

Paris is my favorite city. My best life would be to visit at least twice a year every year. I am so grateful to have been able to go five times, when at one point I thought I would NEVER get to Europe at all. Galerie Lafayette is so gorgeous, it can be horribly crowded, but I never miss it.

So many sights to see in Paris! We were there this past July and it was super packed at all the usual tourist spots. Maybe you can go back during the winter months when it's less busy.

Lovely video, you captured Paris well. It’s been very crowded since COVID. When you return get out of the tourist areas. There are so many better places for hot chocolate. Too bad you didn’t try French food while in France instead of Italian. Doesn’t look like you tried a baguette!

I haven't been to Paris yet, but I would like to visit one day! We just spent 2 weeks in Europe to visit the Christmas markets in Germany. I definitely feel you on the walking more - we were averaging 15 km each day!

I've lived and worked in Paris for many years. Probably the two sites which stay in my memory are 1) First level Eiffel Tower visit at night. 2) Bateau Mouche

Long layover? Are you serious? I'll tell you about a "long layover"! Back in the glory days when my wife and I worked for Pan American World Airways, she had a flight that went basically from San Francisco to Honolulu to various South Pacific destinations ending in either Sydney or Auckland. One of the destinations, which was scheduled for one flight a week, was Tahiti. Yeah, that's right - ONCE a week. That meant that one crew brought it in and then the crew that had brought it in the week before took it on to the final destination. The arriving crew then stayed in the Pan Am owned Intercontinental Luxury Hotel with, of course room and meals provided. If you felt like making the effort you could go over to the Intercontinental Morea to take a break from the "dreary" Papeete lifestyle. Those were the days, my friend!

Nice video, by the way those engravings on the bottles that you brought back from the hotel are the other monuments in Paris that you did not get to see for want of time like the church of Sacré-Coeur de Montmartre, Notre Dame cathedral and the glass pyramid in front of the Louvre museum. Quite a good souvenir to take home, I would say, enjoy!

Great vlog as always! Paris is always fun. I have not been there in over 10 yrs. Here in Oslo we have 2 ft of forcasted sun-tue. After that we have temp down to -20c. Last time it happend around new year was in 1979. Keep up the good work. Be safe!
