Paris Hilton appeared before the House Ways and Means Committee on Wednesday. Hilton testified about her experience at boarding school for troubled teens. She told the committee that when she was 16 years old, “I was ripped from my bed in the middle of the night and transported across state lines to the first of four youth residential treatment facilities.” Hilton said she “was force-fed medications and sexually abused by the staff. I was violently restrained and dragged down hallways, stripped naked, and thrown into solitary confinement. My parents were completely deceived - lied to and manipulated by this for-profit industry about the inhumane treatment I was experiencing.”
Emma Roberts shared her thoughts about “nepo babies” on a recent episode of the “Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi” podcast. “People like to say, ‘Oh, you know, you have a leg up because you’re a family in the industry.’ But then the other side to that is, you know, you have to prove yourself more,” she said. “Also, if people don’t have [a] good experience maybe with other people in your family, then you’ll never get a chance.”
