Wolter, all due respect, but I think we all learned from Clark Griswold that getting everyone personalized berets for an Eiffel run is the way to go.

My personal tip for visiting Paris with children: Check out the aquarium near the Eiffel tower!! There is plenty of jellyfish, sharks etc., children love that :)

you should try "la cité des sciences" in Paris. It's a museum about sciences and it's kid friendly

For kids (and adults too!) there's Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, the largest science park in Europe, at Parc de la Villette that's very interactive. It even has a real submarine! You can also take the kids to Musée des Arts et Métiers, the Musée de la Magie (Museum of Magic), the Aquarium de Paris, Jardin Des Plantes, the amusement park (in summer) by rue de Rivoli beside the Louvre, and of course, just as a last resort, Disneyland Paris

Oh now I can tell Marc something! When you come from the Les Invalides side and walk toward the Eiffel Tower on your right side behind the Busch is a rather big playground. The perfect place to enjoy the view as a parent and let your 1 to probably 6 years old also enjoy. 😀

Mark something I highly recommend for children (ages 5 - 10) in Paris is a puppet show, featuring the little rascally character Guingol (pro: Geen-yol). There are several in Paris (and Lyon). My favorite is Théâtre Guignol Anatole at the Parc Butte de Chaumont. And it's a great park for strolling. Everyone will be happy there. And parents will enjoy the show too. Especially the reactions of French children to the show! Oh and please don't show the 'lovelocks'. They have already ruined one bridge in Paris. See the Honest Guides on lovelocks. They are not an old tradition. And they are also a tourist scam (being sold to tourists) and are a waste of resources and money. They weigh tons! No exaggeration. And they destroy the beauty of cities.

Great video! I just got back from a Eurotrip including Paris with my little one (18 months!) Can’t wait to bring him back when he’s a bit older. I loved that at some museums they had a dedicated special assistance line for disabled people and people with strollers etc! We got to skip a horrendous queue at The Louvre 🙊 I would say that timing museum visits for nap times, when that worked out it was happy days! And changing my mindset like I’m not going to get to spend too long here that helped me. Also the buses you can wheel your stroller right on instead of dealing with the metro steps. The Pompidou centre was really fun with their special kid area. Such a fabulous city!

My biggest questions are: 1. can I walk to all places and take the subway with a stroller??? 2. Is open and safe the subway during the early night to go with kids? 3 is easy to take a taxi? (All in Christmas time)

Hello, I have recently found your channel and I am thinking why it took so long to find me your outstanding videos? You guys are awesome and had great content. Love to see some suggestions for kids friendly places in France. We are traveling to France in late May with our 2 kids (2 and 5 year) and just wanted your opinion if that can be doable? We saw your video about mistake to avoid and we wanted to spend more days in Paris. Day-1-5: Paris Day-6-7: Versailles and Lyon Day-8-9: Nice, Cannes Day-10: Monaco day trip Day-11: Return back Please advise because we have 2 small kids and suggest if we can omit some city but we like to go Nice, Cannes and Monaco for sure. Thanks a lot in advance

WALKING... hahaha. Americans and walking - two different concepts. Well, we Europeans are used to walking around our cities, but unlike Americans, this is a completely everyday task for us and we even enjoy it. 😅
@woltersworld
@woltersworld Жыл бұрын
US cities had space so suburbs grew up around them and you have to drive to the store or work. It's a completely different set up. Like how Americans laugh at Europeans when Europeans get scared about a 2 hour drive and Americans drive 7 hours without even thinking it's even that long... and we are still in our same state 😀
