I have 2 of these on 4000 watt amp, 4 gauge battery / ground wire 16 gauge subwoofer wires. These subwoofers shake my whole car and I feel the vibration on my floor in my house. That's how hard they got these are best subwoofers I've ever had. My friend said he heard me all the way down the highway before I was even close to his house they are amazing ❤️

So I bought a 12 inch American Bass Xr. I put it a box that is probably way wrong for what it calls for(used to have a 15 inch passive radiator in it). This sub is the loudest 12 I've ever heard. It's louder than my 2 power acoustik gothics in a bandpass box. I put 1000 watts to it and box was moving across the floor. Definitely a beast!!

Loved the review, Parker. I knew you would like the XR. I paid $140 each for mine a while back, and they do really well on my Orion Xtr 2500.1. They really are great sounding subs, and they can handle tons of power and still get loud too. It's a great mix of SQ and SPL. 143 db isn't bad at all for a single 12. Really enjoyed this one. Thanks for reviewing this subwoofer. This sub is a hidden gem for sure.

Stiff bowl shape cone, beefy stiff basket, RUBBER surround...all stuff I've come to love. Def appears more SQ, even SQL(based off the strong DB numbers) oriented and I love that. Never been much of an AB fan, but this one got me doing double and triple takes. Really liking what this sub has to offer, even moreso than most subs I've been drooling at lately. In the right box, this thing is probably gonna shine. Very good chance this will be my next sub to try.

One of these xr12d4 flexes my 2011 chrysler 300 so much it literally blows my trunk open every other song lol on hifonics 3.2k wired @ 2 ohms nice vid bro i can tell you where excited about this sub. i still am about mine as well and its been three months of daily driving

The sa12 was a great sub back a few years ago when it was $199 but now with it being upwards of $299 puts itself in a whole new catagory getting smacked around by these huge budget subs like American bass and skar. For this reason I don't run sundown anymore, love the vids brotha 🤘

Damn man u got me hooked on american bass!! I had the audiopipe bd4s and kicker l7 lol!! Now i got pioneer champ pros in the ole ladies car and 2 15 xfls in my everyday car and 2 xr 15s in my weekend car. U got me hooked!!

I vouch the XRs are definitely worth it.. I have a 10" xr d4.. 1500 watts running right now and pounds hard. I haven't heard pwned the xfls. Love the xrs and want more more more lol

Sweet! I got my 2 Sundown E12 v3 put in today, powered by a audiopipe 1500 mono amp, and my god.. box is just under spec but they absolutely slam! If I ever feel like going with more RMS power i will definitely go with this american bass sub in a pair!

I've watched a lot of your videos. And I got back in to car audio. Watching all your videos I could. Plus other videos. Seemed with you American Bass XFL12 you compared to a lot of other brand subs, I was already back in the game. With a factory 2016 Nissan Frontier head unit with a budget line output converter, stock electrical system, with 1.0 wire, 2.5 cap, an Audiopipe APMI 2000.1 on my Kicker 06CVX154 wired down to 2 Ohm. I decided to upgrade and buy an American Bass HD15D2. Sadly to say the American Bass HD15D2 wired down to 1 Ohm. Did NOT last even a week. I was very disappointed in the American Bass HD15D2. So I reinstalled my old Kicker 06CVX154 and was right back in business. I may of just got a lemon American Bass HD15D2. But now I'm gun shy of American Bass product's. Now I'm wanting to upgrade again with a extra battery and thinking about a Sundown Audio Z v.5 15 or a Sundown X v.2 15. I really want the Z v.5 15. I guess will see. Still big thanks for all the great videos Parker.

I have just a single XR10D2 on a Rockford Fosgate R1200-1D and people often think I have at least 2 12s. SQ is really good as well.

I love American Bass. I actually paid it forward on my last pair of XFLs and gave them away when I went from a Trailblazer to a Honda CR-V. My huge box would have fit, but I just decided to save on MPGs. I had the newish XFLs. My surrounds didn’t have the ridges like your old one did.

Just grabbed some XR 1022s for my GF VFL Comp 2k. They are 200oz, 3inch coil, XFL is 200oz, 3inch coil as well (depending on which model you have 220oz), Hawk has 240oz triple stack, with 3inch coil. XR is XFL and Hawk combined IMO

I had 1 bad experience with American bass with a pair of 12 in xfl12d1. At about 2700 rms going to both Subs on a test song for 2 minutes straight low volumn both subs smoked the voice coils. Both stated to handle 1500 rms each. Could have been a bad set of subs though

Its probably because it's a ccaw coil, aluminum coil that is copper coated for a lighter weight coil.. alot of good subs are made like this

This sub is well worth 300 Dollars ,It will take all the power most people are able to push at it. Quick response if your into Rock music and putting it in a sealed enclosure.

If itll do 142 that means double the watts and double the sub and itll get atleast 145 or more depending on the box and when I have 12s that are under $200 thatll do 145 that makes me pretty happy I had a kicker dx1500.1 and 2 cheaper dx 12s doing 143.4 before one blew but it took 1 year to smoke it and these will definitely do better than a older 400 watt dx.

Between the sundown sa rev 3, XFL and this XR, being they are around the same price now since the sundown price dropped to 199$, which gives best sound quality. 12" models for all subs. Thx

How can you tell if it's the newest model? I plan on buying the 10d2 soon but wanted to make sure it's the latest and greatest. Also, what would you reccomend for tuning a box for metal music? I want it to sound good with the double bass pedal. Thanks in advance!

Funny thing how still the xr subwoofer was when I first got it. But after good couple hours and full tilt (no fucks given) it loosened up tremendously.

I don't like when the description/specs/features don't match the pictures on AB's site. Truthfully, it's prevented me from buying from them, cause im not sure what I'll get. Also sucks when enclosure volume isnt listed.

I bought this sub a year ago, was super impressed and then it blew up almost immediately. Since then, Ive got an oscilloscope, and have been over persistently analyzing my system, learned alot from it. Ive contacted psi for a recone but havent heard, now I only buy subs that sell and supply recones. I would still like to repair my XR12 though, any ideas? Some people have ran soundqubed recones on xfl

The only thing I HATE about American Bass is they constantly lie or are miss leading with all their equipment... they sell amps that says 2k when it's really 1500 ..they never give the full specs on their subs...I get it that they are budget friendly and dont get me wrong I liked the xfl but AB needs to clean it up

Did you ever confirm it was a 100% copper vc. I called in to american bass asking about box designs. I might call back to ask about the vc. Question 2 why r you running 1 sub vs 2 subs? I wonder why they don't publish any of the T/S parameters for box building such as Qts or Vas. Why no Xmax? I get suspicious of companies that don't post certain specs. I'm trying to find a good dual 4-ohm sub that has a rubber surround.

Reminds me a lot of my old Alpine Type-X. Right now, I have 1000 watts rms and a 2.0cu ft ported box tuned to 33hz in a Mustang. I am ordering a sub today and I'm 50/50 between these 2. Which one will do better in my setup? XFL or XR??? SOMEBODY HELP!!!!! My main question is, which will perform better with the 1000w.

Could it not have a copper coated aluminium voice coil? I got an EVL but sure what the coil is. Seen some with copper, some with black cca, they say on the Skar vid its copper but in the manual and website it states black cca. Confusing.

I have 2400w to power a ht sub and I'm thinking about an XR 15 or the Dayton max x 15, which states a verified 24mm 1 way xmax I can't stand when companies won't state their specs The Dayton has huge xmax and 89db sensitivity making me think it will be really efficient but not sure how good the sq is compared to my old tc sounds epic 12s which are the cleanest playing subs I've ever heard and take crazy power they will clip a crown ce4000 that's a real 2400w
