@Bunny-ch2ul8 ай бұрын
Keep your silhouettes trim and neat. Anything baggy or oversize is going to make you look like a kid playing dress up even if it's the right length. Don't try to bulk up with slouchy pieces or a lot of layers. It makes you look silly and shorter. Even if you're heavy, you're going to want to think "sleek."

😉Everyone needs to consider their personal proportions to be aware how that will impact how tall they look & how they're visually perceived. 📸 A print/runway model or ideal clotheshorse💥 is where garments hang "right". Historically, these ♀️Supermodels♂️ ranged from 5'9"-6'1" & were rail slim. Plus, the most pleasing proportion visually is a shorter torso & longer legs. They have always been somewhat more flexible w/body dimensions of 🎬TV/Film/Stage actors. They can be various heights & proportions. The Studios will employ 🎥camera & costume style tricks to fool the eye into believing the leading actors are the "ideal" proportions for their role. This is much like what a modern stylist does to improve our looks. A shortwaisted person has rib cage that almost abuts their pelvis.♀️For women, that's typically🤚1 palm length between those two body parts (w/our belly button lining up the middle finger or there abouts). 🤏There is very little vertical ↕️ room for a waistline. Wide belts have a tendency to fold in on this figure. This is usually, but NOT always indicative of a shorter torso overall too. Those w/a long waist have a lot of vertical room between their rib cage & pelvis. Think 🤚2 palms🤚 length between these two body parts for females♀️. This shape suits a traditional corset w/boning best. These individuals tend to have the longest torso. 📏Measure yourself, so you know where you stand. Measure ¹the length of your torso (bottom of larynx to the bottom of your crotch); ²your legs (bottom of your crotch to the bottom of your feet); ³your thighs (bottom of your crotch to the bend in your leg); & ⁴your calves (the bend in your leg to the bottom of your foot). Depending upon your overall body structure & weight, all these things will give you a good indication if you should favor your vertical ↕️ line. Or, if can afford to take greater style risks w/your horizontal ↔️ lines. 😊I'm a 5'7" short-waisted hourglass⏳️. My extreme proportions & more naturally well defined musculature & limbs add much more horizontal definition ↔️〰️even w/o my being overweight. Of course, if I add extra pounds, my horizontal profile is only ⬅️expanded➡️😔. I always try to enhance the vertical to minimize the impact of the horizontal😖. Creating that continuous column of color by either going tonal or matching monochromatic has been my #1 tool in my arsenal for elongating my visual appearance. 🤓Now, my torso is basically the same length as my legs. It might be half/half, but when you consider the addition of my head😁〰️and added differences between width of larger bust & hips〰️it all easily makes me lean top or torso heavy😂. This allows me to embrace some slightly slouchy gear, but I must avoid all oversized & boxy clothing like the plague👿. No fancy or fussy yokes or crazy statement sleeves, I need more simplicity. 🧐BTW, w/a longer torso, esp. combined w/shorter legs, you tend to have a lower ⬇️ center of gravity. This is much better for 💪wrestling, 🏋♀️weight-lifting, & also standing your ground👍. Add to all that, I have longer thighs & shorter calves. Having a lower knee ⬇️ makes me look shorter visually🤣. W/this leg configuration, I have to pay careful attention to hem lengths & heel heights. If I go slightly above the knee or at the knee w/my dress, I must add heel height to counterbalance that at the bottom. Even flat thigh high boots are best for my body type w/a mini skirt, short-shorts, or jeggings bcos they CONCEAL the actual location of my knee. Likewise, my ideal skirt length also obscures my knee. It should hit between the bottom of my curvy calf & between my slim ankle, but it can have side splits for a discreet 👀peek-a-boo. ♂️Men that share this unfortunate issue of longer thighs/shorter calves, look infinitely better in shorter shorts 🩳 (like Parker favors) or full length straight or boot cut trousers w/a shoe that has a little height. A boot w/a block heel or a lug sole shoe will add extra height at the bottom⬇️ where you need it. Another visual trick to look taller overall is to scrunch, cuff, or roll your long sleeves. Showing off your forearm immediately brings the focus👁👁 right up ⬆️ to your waistline. This will also elongate your overall presentation. Confidence, command, & charisma does a lot to improve a man's stature too. 💜Much love to Parker & all you 👑kings out there. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)

Use reflective discs to cover spokes on the wheels and, if you have hand grips behind the seat, make them a lighter colour than the frame. If you have an electric, don't use any kind of aerial or decorative accessory that extends above your head. Keep any accessorising additions at a level below your kneeline to accentuate your body length. The monochrome clothing idea will work with this too.

Lengthening your legline is a key part of appearing taller (or less short), and high waisted pants also help a lot with that. You can also wear a belt that matches the colour of your trousers, and that makes your pants look a bit longer (since the belt blends in with the pants) if you don't want to wear monochrome.

Lol, right? I'm 5'2", so all these 5'7", 5'8" dudes look just fine from my vantage! 😂😂 Best tip I've found is "Wear clothes that fit you". Which can be REALLY hard when you're not a size that most brands account for. But the extra effort to find something (and the humility to reach for the x-small instead of the medium) can make all the difference. Wearing clothes that are too large do nothing but highlight how small you are in them.
@Mara_1337Ай бұрын
@@dutchvanl man, I feel you on the sizing part. I am a woman but I shop from any section where I like something but the problem is, I wpuld need a men's XS, which doesn't exist here. I am in europe so sizes might not be the same as for you but anyway, I am 155cm and S is often too long, especially on the arms. But the worst part is, that also counts for unisex clothes, so if I would like to buy a band shirt or some online creator's merch, it's always too big 💀

As someone who is 5’2: sometimes the long shirt that goes over the pants can make you look skinny and thus taller if you have a short torso (although I have never seen success from this (in the general just looking good department) in dress shirts. More so casual stuff) It’s making your legs look more average length instead of a lot longer than they “should” be and a lot of the “fat” perception comes from the torso height vs width instead of actual fat there Just tips I’ve learned from being a shorty
