The parking brake on my 2012 Jeep Wrangler JK had too much slack. I had to pull the handle nearly to the vertical position to have the brake "bite". In this video, we remove the rear wheels, brakes, and rotors to gain access to the brake shoe adjustment cog. From there, we can move the shoes closer to the brake drum, which results in less play on the brake handle!
After chocking the front wheels, I put the transfer case into Neutral so that I am able to spin the rear wheels as I adjust the brake shoes.
I only filmed the driver's side as my camera battery died and I couldn't film the passenger side - but everything is basically the same. With the exception that the adjustment cog needs to spin in the opposite direction!
