Parkinson was embarrassed with Ringo. I thought he was drunk, he didn't let Barbara get a word in. It was lovely to see Glenn Shorrock.

many of his interviews in late 70s - early 80s heh was either obnoxious or drunk. -and even though he got sober eventually, he still could be self centered.. like when Dave Groll performed "Buldog", Ringo pointed to himself as though to say "Hey, what about ME"!!

Ringo did not come across a nice or happy person during his 'drunken washed-up rock star' period of the mid 70s to early 80s.

I agree. It must have been difficult for Barbara to deal with. I'm glad he got sober and stable around post 1988.

@@sentimentalbloke185Absolutely. He would've died in the 90's probably. He looked very unhealthy in the 80's too, and really looked better when he cleaned up his lifestyle.
