These questions are quite good for a midmorning interview and an audience possibly not already intimately familiar with Mitchell. It's very professional; I don't see what all the complaints are for.

Neither do I. Not to mention the projections people are casting on David like "this was so clearly painful" as if David was suffering from being asked interview questions from a fucking morning show host. Most morning show hosts aren't exciting. Who wants excitement when they just fucking woke up, anyway? Not me. I want a bowl of cereal and closed blinds.

Is the lady the same one that plays Mark's mom at the Christmas party? The, "that's very cheeky Hans" scene comes to mind.

It will make Steven Fry's terrible but inevitable passing easier to deal with, knowing that David Mitchell's still about.

Love that those two idiots try and get him to spit out a nasty soundbite about John Cleese and David sees right through it, plus sort of explains to them gently why they are being naughty. Class act.

Isn’t the female host the actress who plays David’s mum
@QueenDeaconite15 жыл бұрын
I don't think he did, I think he just gave the example of the Holmes and Watson sketch and the one shown just happened to be another detective sketch.

I find it funny that the line "what the hell is going on here!" probably wouldn't make it on US daytime tv because americans think 'hell' is a swear word.

From 1995 to 2005 was the best comedies ever made. I m not a John Cleese fan. I miss Gimme Gimme, Father Ted, Peep show, Black Books.

Is it too much of a stretch to say Mitchell has the finest mind of any comedian on the planet? I don't think it is.

Wow! Are morning news interviewers always so uptight in the UK? That was so hard to watch! I bet that was super awkward for him.

Monty Python was funny, and I imagine a lot of stuff from M and W were influenced by it.

How comes he didn't pull out a machete and hack Fern and Phil into tiny little pieces for such dull interview questions? You can tell he is thinking about it.

Tell that to my friend who was given a lecture in the US for saying that word out loud. I admit it's considered a fairly mild one though, only really omitted from kids shows. I don't know why I made this comment really, must have been drunk or just witnessed some right wing US nut on TV creating some anti-american feelings in me at the time.
