250 Watt run 1 speed 9 km/h: 4.3 Wh x 3600 / 48 seconds = 323 Watt average power
250 Watt run 2 full speed 10 km/h: 4.2 Wh x 3600 / 48 seconds = 315 Watt average power
350 Watt run 1 speed 10 km/h: 3.7 Wh x 3600 / 49 seconds = 272 Watt average power
350 Watt run 2 full speed 11 km/h: 3.9 Wh x 3600 / 45 seconds = 312 Watt average power
350+ Watt run 1 speed 11 km/h: 3.8 Wh x 3600 / 46 seconds = 297 Watt average power
350+ Watt run 2 full speed 11 km/h: 3.8 Wh x 3600 / 42 seconds = 326 Watt average power
Féru 350+ Watt run 1 speed 11 km/h: 2.8 Wh x 3600 / 43 seconds = 234 Watt average power
Féru 350+ Watt run 2 full speed 14 km/h: 2.9 Wh x 3600 / 35 seconds = 298 Watt average power
Féru 350 Watt full speed 14 km/h: 3.0 Wh x 3600 / 34 seconds = 318 Watt average power
The Féru firmware is 14/11 = 27% faster at 3/3.9 = 77% energy consumption.
= you could drive 27% faster while covering 3,9/3 = 30% more distance.
And it is way more silent then the still great original Niklas Fauth firmware.

battery charging still works, i think that logic is hardware only. the leds can be controlled with the EmanuelFeru sideboard firmware.

Im still trying to figure out how to get ppm to work. Im building a multi purpose platform that can be used for moving stuff. Also it will be the perfect width to drive down my garden rows without disturbing plants so i can plant from a sitting position and my lawnmower fits on it.

i think ppm is out of date. An ESP8266 with wlan can do more and would be a solution for everyone. But it seems a lot of you still have a good old rc remote around and therefore go that way. I am currently switching to the EmanuelFeru firmware and it seems i need to improve his serial communication.. Taking a look at his ppm i find // Add Dead-band to a signal // This function realizes a dead-band around 0 and scales the input within a min and a max int addDeadBand(int16_t u, int16_t deadBand, int16_t min, int16_t max) So he improved ppm and pwm. Maybe you too give it at try. Any ideas how to detect horse apples ? That would be another "garden" use case of such a moving platform.

I have 200W 6.5" plastic motors and the torque sucks, it was on my DIY go kart. I upgraded to 350W 10" metal hoverboard motors and now the torque is awesome. Id say that the 350W motors have twice the torque at least even though the wheel diameter is larger which would have lessened the torque, so overall 3x the torque of the plastic motor at the same diameter. Surprisingly, hoverboard motors have been getting worse with plastic designs and a measly 160 watts at 24 volts.

I have never seen hoverboard motors made of plastic. They all are made off aluminum. I can not imagine that plastic would be durable enough. Please upload a short video.

Is when heverboard company's state the wattage is that permotor or each motors ? so if it says 500w dual motor does that mean is that mean 2 250 W motors or 1 500 W motor. Thanks love your videos

500W very likely will only have the poorer 250W motors. Better get 700W hoverboards.

Small power supply or 24V = 250 Watt. Otherwise you need to open the motor and measure the stator height = magnets length. I show the three different lengths in the video and test them later. Forgot the lengths and would need to watch it again to post them here.

Choose EFeru on my online compiler and compile :-) I drive two 1000W 48V scooter motors with a single hoverboard control board. But only with a 3000W Cisco 42V power supply. And I have a 12V CPU cooling fan connected to the 15V cable.. 48V battery might cause too much heat and kill the MOSFETs as well as the hoverboard motors. 12s liion has been tested successfully.

Thank you for posting but the back ground music makes it hard to follow at 1.5x speed, might consider not having music on while speaking to improve watchability

Yes that is exactly why almost all of my reviews do not have any music to better understand my lousy english. As this video should have a fun factor, i did only cut the music volume down while speaking.

Buy a cheap joystick with two potentiometers and go with the firmware of Emanuel Feru. It is still active and Emanuel very nice in answering the issues opened on his GitHub repository. Read the already existing issues there concerning variant_adc :-)
