Thank you for being very helpful. Other videos helped me to replace timing belt. This one helping to fix stack key in ignition cylinder.

I was able to replace the actuator switch and to get my PT Cruiser to start, but the radio isn't working or my clock. The radio ONLY comes on when I have the key in the accessories position, NOT when the engine is running. Do I have to get it reprogramed or is there a way that I can do it myself?

Is there a chance the pt cruiser for the year 08/09 has the same issue with the starting of the car

I’m working on a 2008 Jeep Liberty no crank. Customer threw a ton of parts out of it. I found a couple issues with two fuses in the TIPM not getting voltage. Can’t remember the numbers, but I believe J something. We replaced the TIPM with a used part and got voltage. Still no crank. No signal on pin 30 of the starter relay when cranking. Can use a bypass relay and the starter cranks. Key on, cranks and you can here the fuel pump come on. Pulled ignition switch and manually tried with a screwdriver with no change. At this point I’m getting stumped wondering if I have a PCM issue. Can you give me any ideas? Thank you.

Thats something I would have to see in person and then go thru the process of checking this or checking that. Nothing simple I can point you towards.

I havent had the chance to see if its the exact same part for that year. I know my 2008 is acting like this same part may have failed, just havent gotten around to checking it.

How can you test for this? I can start car by screwdriver jump on the starter and turning the key

The best way is to test the output of the ignition switch with the key in certain positions. If there is a odd reading then it could be the electrical portion of the ignition switch or the linkage inside. Thats when you separate the switch from the assembly and look at the linkage end. David, can't find a good video on PT cruiser camshaft position sensor. Is there a good way to check sensor? Also have 5 volts on two of the wires coming from computer. Comment?

The way to test a cam or crank sensor is with a lapscope. You have to be able to observe the signal that it generates to determine if its bad or not. Two wires will have 5 volts so thats normal when checking.
