I've been having a cylinder#4 misfire, I went and changed all spark plugs, didn't solve, so I changed the coil, still misfire, but I noticed on the video you pointed to cylinder#3 on the intake side, I thought the cylinder was#4. My question is, what's the cylinder numbers, I thought#1 started on the driver side front.

my dealer changed 4 rocker arms and it still ticks. I looked at the valve covers and said how did you do that because the valve covers were never removed. They lied and I left it there and told them to fix it right. All this under warranty. They didn't think I would check like most people don't and live with the tick. The original RTV sealant was still there never touched and sand and dirt around covers.

Sad thing is when I was at the dealer…..Chrysler didn’t have an issue if we replaced all one side….(16). Sorry it happened. For me it would be right back at the dealer to be “fixed” again

@@MotorCityMechanic I did. I took it right back and left it. It has been there since thursday and no word yet. See what monday brings. Only 54k on my Pacifica. Now I don't trust them. Give the service manager 1 shot to make it right. Wasn't his fault the mechanic lied. But if it still ticks after that then I will go to general manager and Chrysler.

How much torque for the bolts into the engine?
@Normandie-xn9gw3 күн бұрын
Great video, I’m adding this because I hate to be the guys that asks a question and then doesn’t post how they solved the problem. I was having trouble getting the cylinder head off my 2015 jeep wrangler after undoing all the bolts in video. I just wanted to add this. For the jeep there is no motor mount to remove the alternator is bolted in this location you must remove those bolts and move the alternator out of the way. Next to the where the exhaust bolts on you have to remove the 2 bolts that hold that pull on, ac compressor or whatever it is. Lastly I wanted to add the head is really stuck on there, it didn’t move at all pulling and prying. I ended up using a ratcheting tie down between the hood mount and the back bracket that holds The cam on place. 3 clicks and POP done. Keep an eye out not to bend your hood bracket mine didn’t bend but just be careful. Thank you

This is great! I am in this section of my engine now, learned a lot by watching your tutorial; in my case I am taking the whole engine apart, it was hydro locked, could not move the crankshaft but once out of the bay, once I could separate tranny, used a breaker bar with a cheater bar and with immense effort got to rotate the crank and remove the torque converter, so finally engine is in the engine stand and I am starting to take it all apart; learning as I go; your tutorial has lot of details and explanations as to how everything works and things to look for; my engine has about 68k miles as it was a replacement under warranty after a spun bearing in the factory engine at 59k miles, the hydro locked was warranty denied by both Mopar and my insurance, hence I have to do it myself, can not afford you guys but with tutorials like this it is possible; I overhauled another engine for a Toyota Corolla once already, so no my first rodeo and I installed a half lift in my garage which helps a lot and makes the process less painful. What have me scratching my head is when putting it back together how do I align it for the timing? as I am opening everything the heads so far looks fantastic and I will check everything as recommended for tolerances and excessive wear but I think this engine could give another 100k after back together again, once back together still I have the mopar lifetime warranty and hope their would honor if anything fails. The maintenance have been spot on, and I can confirm by the look of the components inside; always follow the oils changes makes a hell of a difference!

I just did the complete rocker/lifter swap and the rt side intake cam following your instruction. I am a competent mechanic of over 30 yrs. so your instructions were easy to follow and my time was well spent watching them. Thank you. My problem is the jeep will not fire off now. R2 the cam sensors, the crank sensor, the Inlet air temp sensor, and ck all thge engine and body grounds. I didnt do anything diffent on the disassembly and had no left over parts. Would a bad phaser keep it from firing? I am leaning towad the notches on the back of the cam are not sending the signal to the tpm. I bought the cam on amazon so that ones on me. any info on any more troubleshooting before i tear it all down agaito ck cam and phasers on the rt side would be appreciated.

Thanks for this series. I am trying to figure out if this is the issue with my partners 2015 wrangler. There is a tick that is recently showed up in the last month or that we are just noticed since then. At first I was thinking it's an injector like my Toyota Tacoma does sometimes but now I think it needs looked at. Whilst your video shows everything in good detail it's beyond my ability to do that work. It is good though to understand what the mechanics should be doing to make this repair.
