Part 11!!! What is Ian up to these days in his hot rod garage? After our three hour tour, we are back from vacation with some witty banter, childhood stories and Ian finally is able to put the lowered bug on the ground👽
The backstory...
Ian has decided to lower this VW Beetle 6 inches to get it to the ground and start radically modifying this beat up 1968 VW Beetle, but like most things that were once going to find the fate of the crusher, he once again proves you can do some amazing things in your garage with some imagination, fearlessness and a willingness to make mistakes as you create. 🥴
His fascination stems from the seemingly limitless customization opportunities for this vehicle. Join Ian on a wild ride through his mind 👽 as he envisions then fabricates his most radical ideas to date. 😎

I love Jamie’s addition to your channel. I think we tend to forget that what is common knowledge for gear heads isn’t to others. She asks valid questions and is clearly picking up knowledge of the gear head world. I love your approach to fabrication. You’re relatable and make fun projects that maybe aren’t perfect, but they work.

Jamie, you and Ian are a great combination on the channel. I enjoy your camera work and dialogue asking questions from a novice view point. please try to ignore any negative comments the vast majority of viewers find you two “outta this world.” Since Ian’s creativity flows at near light speed your questions and dialogue brings focus to the work being accomplished. The format of the show is so different. Love Jamie’s involvement: her laugh is lovely. The originality of your ‘old’ TV show is retained, but now we just have so much more ‘behind the scenes’ detail too. Where are the inspectors though??

That bug looks badass, I think I need to build the engine and put my cam in and it'll preform like it looks. But then the transaxel will have to be upgraded to a Porsche 6 speed.

I slow rolled past a mid 60's bug in oncoming traffic today. It looked like it was original paint, luggage rack, baby moons, slight nose down stance, and the guy driving looked like he may have driven it off the showroom floor. We don't fight the rust problem here and the bug looked super straight. I was more than just a little jealous! Really glad to see you two in a new video today. I was needing a fix.
