Part 18! Ian Roussel 1968 VW Custom Window/Pillar Revision! That was Complicated In Many Ways! 👽 🤓
Jamie is fully aware the sound is off, but she hopes you like the music she picked out 🎧 ❤️
As usual Ian gets it done and is a true metal artist. 🧑‍🎨
Ian read as many of your amazing comments as he could, and went for it. The sound is off on this video, that is why Jamie only highlighted what she thought was the most important in the fabrication steps....We may do another video on the other side for those of you that want a deeper look into how he fabricated it. We felt it was important to show it, bad sound an all, definitely tested Jamie's editing skills 😝
The origin of this custom build was inspired by ‪@JohnnyJalopyArt‬ Please subscribe to his channel if you haven't already!
The backstory...
Ian has decided to lower this VW Beetle 6 inches to get it to the ground and start radically modifying this beat up 1968 VW Beetle, but like most things that were once going to find the fate of the crusher, he once again proves you can do some amazing things in your garage with some imagination, fearlessness and a willingness to make mistakes as you create. 🥴
His fascination stems from the seemingly limitless customization opportunities for this vehicle. Join Ian on a wild ride through his mind 👽 as he envisions then fabricates his most radical ideas to date. 😎

The rear side window looks great !! The car needed that enhancement. It is a two for one, now it still has that bug soul with the big cool factor, and much less delivery wagon feeling. Bob Ross would have said, that happy window has to live there. What I think is very special about Ian, and I have seen that in most of the TV episodes as well, is that he is always open for ideas, or even encouraging people to come up with ideas, and he is not pondering for weeks about it, when he likes the idea he just starts cutting straight away, and it doesn't matter how complicated it is. A bit like a puppy longing for somebody to throw the ball away, Ian is always ready to play and to share the fun, even if he has to do all the hard work. I think it is awesome. 😊 👍

Hi Ian been watching you on TV really enjoy your TV program I'm 75 and have built many VW bugs and haves always had fun, on the one you are standing the windshield up like you have I like your black fenders and was wondering how hard it would be to put the front fenders to the rear and rear fenders to front and see if the longer fender could be tried to fit the rear better just an idea all my buggy i removed the body and just made play toys from them you look like enjoy your so keep it up Ronald Anderson from Jesup Ga

It just occurred to me [for what it is worth] that Ian creates jigsaw puzzles, puts the pieces back together in ways he likes, then glues it all together. I could do that! For the first time I feel like I could do that. The only car I would be interested in rebuilding [67 Buick Wildcat] would get a small chop, rear wheel wells instead of the removable skirts, a shortened trunk and a smaller, fuel efficient motor instead of the 455 cu. in. gas guzzler it came with. All I need now is to see what he is doing with the area around his car lift. I LOVE that lift, but in MI. I would need at least a roof over it. LOVIN THE REAR SIDE WINDOW! I worried that it might become another port hole. HA! Another thought: Did Jamie finally learn how to shut Ian up? My magnificent wife [RIP] tried to do that for 30 + YEARS unsuccessfully. [joke] Thank both of you for sharing your efforts. We love your vlog here!
