Her debut film was Bhagyadevatha in 2009 in supporting role. Her big screen debut in lead role happened in 2015, where she did the female lead in Sreebala K Menon's film Love 24x7 in which she was paired with Dileep.
She went on to appear in successful films like Aravindante Athidhikal , Njan Prakashan, Oru Yamandan Premakadha ,The Priest, Madhuram, Jo and Jo and Kotthu. She started her acting career in television in a documentary on Saint Alphonsa which was aired on Shalom TV. Her debut film was Bhagyadevatha in 2009 in supporting role. Her big screen debut in lead role happened in 2015, where she did the female lead in Sreebala K Menon's film Love 24x7 (2015) in which she was paired with Dileep.
Nikhila Vimal was born in Taliparamba, Kerala to late M. R. Pavithran and Kalamandalam Vimaladevi. Her father was retired from statistical department while her mother is a dancer. Her elder sister Akhila Vimal is a research scholar in Theater arts at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. The name 'Vimal' comes from the name of her mother.
In this three-part conversation interview, Nikhila Vimal talks about her career and how she is particular that she continues to lead a very simple life. She talks about the controversies that surround her statements and why she chooses to not engage in any debates that surround the viral statements that she has made. In the second part of the interview, we delve deeper into her personal life, the beautiful relationship she shares with her father and the difficulties that she has dealt with growing up. I can understand every word she said very clearly.. I have gone through the same situation. (Even if it's not so similar) especially, the things that you can't cry about, the thought that I wish my father was with me now, and the children who teach their mother to live alone and all that. Thank you dhanya mam for bringing Nikhila to this interview. I can't watch many of your interviews without getting teary-eyed.🫂

I hv bn gone through these kinda situations but my father is ok now I look after him because of health issues I can relate so many things she said me and father is like my best friends I felt so sad . I faced so many difficulties and also I was trying for my higher education I don't even know how I managed these all. I am so glad that I did my best for my father. He is alright now ♥️🫂

It's an unimaginable pain for all people who handled their loved one's death due to Covid on that particular period of time. Because no one wanted to help due to the fear. Poor people who died alone even if they got their loved ones and they couldn't even get a decent funeral. Some strangers with mask brought their body wirh fear and they burned their body without anyone around which was the most painful experience ever!! When Nikhila described again about that experience, I got emtional again.

എന്റെ അച്ഛൻ എനിക്ക് എല്ലാം ആയിരുന്നു.. എന്റെ ഹീറോ ഞാൻ തളർന്നു കിടന്ന ഒരു വർഷം എനിക്ക് താങ്ങായി നിന്നതും.. എന്നെ ജീവിതത്തിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ട് വന്നതും എന്റെ അച്ഛനായിരുന്നു.. എന്റെ 11 വയസ്സിൽ എന്റെ അച്ഛൻ accidentil മരിച്ചു... ഇന്നും ഞാൻ അത് accept ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല ഇപ്പോഴും എന്റെ കൂടെ ഉണ്ട് എന്ന feel ആണ്... നിഖില പറയുമ്പോൾ എല്ലാം എന്റെ ജീവിതവുമായി നല്ല bhenthamundu എന്റെ അമ്മയെ അച്ഛന് ജീവനായിരുന്നു.. അമ്മ മുസ്ലിം അച്ഛൻ bhramin love marrige ഒരു കുഞ്ഞിനെ പോലെയാണ് അച്ഛൻ കൊണ്ട് നടന്നത് ആ ഷോക്കിൽ അമ്മക്ക് strock വന്ന് ഇപ്പോഴാണ് അമ്മ ok ആയതു... ജീവിതത്തിൽ ഒരു മകന്റെയും. മകളുടെയും ചുമ്മാതല്ല വളരെ ചെറു പ്രായത്തിൽ ഏറ്റടുക്കേണ്ടി വന്ന ഒരാളാണ് ഞാൻ... അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോഴും strong ആണ് 🙏ഇന്നുവേര എന്റെ relativesine ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.. അച്ഛൻ ഉള്ളപ്പോൾ അച്ഛൻ ഗൾഫിൽ നിന്നു കൊണ്ട് വരുന്നത് വാരി കൊണ്ട് പോകാൻ വരുന്ന 14 കൂടെപ്പിറപ്പുകളെ അച്ഛൻ മരിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞു ഇന്നുവേര കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല... അമ്മക്ക് സ്ട്രോക് വന്ന് അപ്പോഴും കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല...അച്ഛൻ പറയുമായിരുന്നു നമ്മുക്ക് നമ്മൾ മാത്രമേ കാണു എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞത് സത്യമാണ്

Mam, if you could ask them one more question, please do ask about, how long they took to come out of the pain and to feel normal again.. Currently I am going through such pain, its been 4 months, and nothing changed. Still we are in tears, sometimes, we want to bring him back somehow.

I'm going through the same thing and its been 5 months for me. Initially I did not want to move on and was stuck coz that grief is the last thing that's connecting us to them. But I realised death isn't inevitable and one day we will all die in one way or another, we can only hope to be gone in a painless way. So I've come to accept that and I chose to celebrate him and his life. I think they'd also wish for us to do that instead of being sad for them. Through us, they'll live. ❤
