Supriya Menon is a Producer and the co-founder of Prithviraj Productions. Prithviraj Productions was launched in 2017. She has in partnership with her husband actor/ director Prithviraj produced and distributed more than 10 films. Their films under the banner of Prithviraj Productions include 9, Driving License, Kuruthi, Jana Gana Mana, Kaduva, Gold and Selfie (Hindi movie to be released).
Supriya Menon is a former BBC journalist. She had also worked as a reporter for NDTV. She was all set to go abroad for her further studies when she met Prithviraj. Soon they were in love and after a long courtship of four years, they got married. Supriya's parents have always been supportive of all her decisions. Her father Vijayakumar Menon passed away a year ago. She now lives in Kochi with her mother, her husband Prithviraj and daughter Alankrita.
This interview is in two parts: The first part encapsulates her journey so far as a person who had to move to Kerala after leading the life of a journalist in Mumbai. She talks about how her relationship with her husband Prithviraj has evolved over the years and how they have worked together to create their film production and distribution house Prithviraj Productions. She talks about being married into this family which include stars like Indrajith Sukumaran, Poornima Indrajith and Mallika Sukumaran. Prithviraj`s father Sukumaran himself was the leading actor and the hero in several movies and was known for his strong portrayal of characters.
The second part is more about the personal side of her being. She talks about how her parents helped her become the person that she is today. She talks about the grief that she has been going through after her dad passed away. Her dad was battling cancer. She talks about how she is perceived differently from who she is and her struggle being very different as she holds on to her own identity. She talks about how she dealt with postpartum depression after the birth of her daughter and how she sought help to help her through it.
Both the episodes give us a glimpse to her life journey and reward us with several takeaways that stay with us. The thoughts shared around mental health awareness, importance of a professional help or therapy, dealing with postpartum depression or even depression in general, success and failure, gender equality can give us valuable insights.

She is not an actoress at all. She basically a journalist and knows how to speak confidently. Why should you compare with her other actresses? First of all compare one person with another is not a good thing to do. Appreciate her thats it.

@@Justin-nv Yes of course she is a journalist. But just being a journalist will not give you the ability to make people listen to you for hours or keep them occupied throughout the interview. It’s not just her confidence speaking, but she also has a clarity in whatever she says. One can say dumb things if they have the confidence. So only having confidence will not make people listen to someone, they need to have a point. And all I said is how I felt after watching this gem of an interview among all the terrible interviews we watch in recent times. Thank you

I never miss Supriya's interviews, the clarity in her thoughts and ideologies is so empowering and the powerful woman she is !! I feel like this conversation is literally one of the best in this channel. Dhanya ma'am is bringing people from various sections of industry who have solid content in them . I think every talk show or interview should take this as an example to understand how to handle the person sitting opposite to you ! The calm and subtle way of asking, powerful words and hold on language , You are a great anchor Dhanya ma'am ! And Supriya is like an inspiration to many girls out there who would like to excel in their careers! Having strong oppinions, the way she talks about Prithviraj and her relationship with him. Firstly, would like to appreciate Dhanya for running such a beautiful show. Your interview is the one which I always look forward to and have always had some takeaways at the end of the show. Please keep up the good work and keep bringing more talents from different genre. About Supriya - the first talk which I saw entirely of Supriya was her speech at Women in Business Conclave. I was awestruck seeing the confidence and strong personality of hers. She delivered a speech befitting her lofty credentials. It was great to listen to her! The fact that growing up in a family with an equal voice and space, would make u so strong and logical like her makes me feel heartbroken. Excellent interview as always. Right from the selection of the guest to the type of questions you ask, Dhanya the whole process is absolutely great . And no words to say about Supriya. Strong words from a strong and powerful lady. Cannot disagree with anything she said and what confidence. Where ever Supriya’s interview I am there..the person who inspired me as a wife,mother and as well as an empowering women..I love the way she talks..her hardful thoughts are she expressed in a simple way..very clean and definite words..and Dhanya chechi your selection for this programme was so so super..I think only intellectual people have space here😂

This is how an interview should be... Asking intelligent questions to a strong intelligent persons... You can see how comfortable and confident Supriya is sharing her views and ideas.. same like Prithviraj, could easily glued into their talking.. other interviews are fun to watch, will get more views but to pull out an interview like this the Anchor deserves more credits... These types of interviewers are missing in the youtube channels.. should bring this types of people on board.. If we see old interviews of Prithviraj like one with Sreekandan Nair, can clearly see Prithviraj is not comfortable.. with his knowledge he deserves better questions.. But being Sreekandan Nair with all his experience, he might be thinking who is this guy showing attitude, only done some movies and shows off more than a superstar would do... Time changes Supriya and Prithviraj are still the same

Looking forward for Part 2. Thanks Dhanya for this interview and so glad to know Supriyas’ life and dreams, truly inspiring. Her words on her daughter would be able to see the changes and benefit out of it.. I certainly agree, we should pave the way for change so our coming generation can reap the benefits.. There is a long way to go for a change in our society’s outlook.
