Very impressive and hard working. Amazed with how much you did, throw ladder, secure water supply, charge attack lines, assist with the fan and help swap bottles.

Ravenna's pump operator is a phenomenal multi tasker! What is the large control handle that surrounds the large main intake? This is a great video!

What's the difference between the red hose and the yellow hose? Also. Who figured out that it was arson? I hope that the arsonist is in jail.

They are the same. It just helps us differentiate between the two. She admitted it at the hospital. She is currently in a psychiatric hospital

Question. How come if your on hydrant water you keep opening and closing the intake? Ate you just filling your tank constantly and flowing that line in tank to pump?

@joeywirt79533 ай бұрын
Just by watching it as a mechanic, My mind went to the hydrant is flowing at a faster rate so the tank overflows. I guess he could play the game of find that sweet spot until someone shuts the hose off or turns another one on and the problem resets. So I guess it's just easier to fill it, close it, empty it, and repeat
@matthewgjurkaj72913 ай бұрын
@@joeywirt7953 yeah but if he’s running directly into the pump from the hydrant, he shouldn’t half to have the tank fell open at all
@alexphillips43253 ай бұрын
They're using the pump to boost hydrant pressure normally, but when he needs to shut off the hydrant to change what stuff is attached to it, he switches to pumping water from the tank in order to make sure water flow is steady. Using the pump to boost hydrant pressure rather than filling the tank from the hydrant and pumping from the tank puts a lot less stress on the engine. Notice the engine winds up and runs faster when he starts pumping from the tank.

Leave that 2 1/2 gate on, open the hydrant, open your intake, simple. Stop closing the intake lol

How come you keep opening/closing the intake valve and then doing the opposite with the tank to pump handle? (Open intake -> Close handle and vise versa). Does this change the discharge pressure of the truck or does it vary depending on each lines specific pressure? Obviously it is dept. specific with SOP and SOG’s but ours is full tank to pump/tank fill and then gauge pressure using the trucks built in system. Is this worse??

Why does the engine sound so bad? Almost sound like it’s pumping with the primer stuck or something? Nice hustle !

That’s completely normal. We use CAFS so the sound you hear is the onboard air compressor adding foam and air to our attack lines
