Forget the bad shots… I know it’s hard, but they are in the history books. Approaching your next shot with a clear head and a positive outlook. Try to treat it like starting from scratch. We all have bad shots and multiple bad shots every round. Just maintain a positive attitude and keep grinding! You got this… it will all come together

Great advice! Easier said than done but definitely strive to maintain a positive attitude as much as I can. Thanks bro

Just found your channel and I love your content! TY for showing us all the ups and downs of golf. I felt you maintain your composure quite well in this video so that was inspiring since most of us tend to unravel when things aren't going our way 😅

lol thank you! anytime I feel myself about to unravel I try to remind myself that I'm not good enough to get that upset but as we all know, that's easier said than done lol. Appreciate the comment though and thanks for checking out the channel. Hopefully I can keep you entertained for some future videos!

mental tips for me when I'm having issues: 1 - After I've made club selection and am about to hit, I focus on the dimple of the ball I'm about to hit...nothing else in the mind. 2 - I divide the holes into 3 at a time instead of front 9 / back 9. If I'm having a "bad 3", reset next 3, instead of waiting for "next 9". Recover faster 3 - I also switch my tee and my ball, and my club after a bad hole (I hit my 5 iron instead of driver on next hole for example). Resets the mind by making it do something else.

Breaking holes up into 3s is a good idea! Thanks for that! Also agree with 1 and 2

@@quaypottsyessir! Breaking em into threes has really changed the game for me. I started doing it as a scoring thing to break 85. I’m like, I just need a par every three holes, rest can be bogeys. So I started thinking that way by breaking it up, I even put lines on the score card to make me think that way. Like you said, this game is 90% mental. Keep up the great work though, and don’t forget the little people when you go big 😁

Consider using tees for more consistent lie on tee box. It may help with chunking and short tee shot.
@quaypotts

I stopped using tees in the tee box when hitting irons because 1. I was getting too much height and 2. I had a lot of miss hits. Idk what it is.. I struggle with tee’d up shots with my irons.

Just a thought, cold weather/air can reduce carry and a few other things about ball flight. I feel like once the sun went down you kept having shots go "short". Might have come into play. I remember watching a video with a guy mentioning it is better to club up then be short. I think this alludes to doing an easier lag putt compared to a 10-30 yard chip shot. I am still learning but just some thoughts I had.

@@quaypotts Bro your game is there, you just gotta get through the mental part and you’ll be single digit handicap soon! We get too caught up in the moment instead of staying calming and using what we know.
