Excellent tutorial, really well presented and informative, which is especially helpful for the beginner. Keep up the good work and by all means continue with new tutorials, you have an awesome teaching skill that affords ease of learning while taking the mystery out of using foam latex, which seems to being abandoned in this new age of gelatin and silicone use. Foam was, and still should be the standard of the trade. Two thumbs up!!!!!!!!

Good tutorial. One bit of caution: Foam latex base contains ammonia and the mixing step frees lots of ammonia vapor into the air. Be sure to have good ventilation in your work space or wear a respirator that protects against ammonia vapor. 3M makes several inexpensive masks and filter cartridges designed to protect against organic vapors and solvent fumes. You can find them at most any hardware or paint store.

You should keep making these videos for sure! I'm curious about your oven too! I want to make my own and just put it out back. Also curious on how exactly you make the key.

Thanks Nicole, I've been wanting to work with foam Latex for the longest time now. It's been difficult finding a video with detail information on how to work with and bake the latex. Quick question, when you said 180, was that in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit?

Do you you just trim the flashing off with scissors then? Would love love love a video on painting! :) I have a million questions! :P

When using foam latex is it necessary to put it in the oven? And are there any substitutes to putting it in the latex oven? Or should I just use a different material all together?
