Hey man I haven’t finished watching the series but I’m watching to get an idea of what to expect in my h22 swap on my cb7 and I really appreciate how you show everything you’re doing instead of those 5-10 minute videos where they just barely show the basics. I’m pretty new to the car scene so this is going to be really helpful in the future when I get my new motor

I'm in process of gathering parts and doing this exact swap on my 95 cd5 accord. Im using the f22 manual timing tensioner just to save some money. And ill be keeping the balance shafts since it's a free way to keep the engine in balance while high revving. Those ati dampeners are pretty pricey. But I've seen some good out of deleting them with the eliminator kits from ks tuned. You would gain 5-10 psi of oil pressure if you tap and plug your oil ports for the balance shafts. Im using a obd1 h22a1 distributor to eliminate the external coil. And ill use the stock h22a4 injectors and just loop my resistor box wires together. I was thinking of using rdx injectors but I want it close to stock as possible. I'm using a p06 ecu with vtec added and chipped so I can later on tune it if I need to. I had a f22a1/f23a hybrid turbo setup previously but I'm tired of chasing turbo problems and would like to have the car on the road for years to come. I see that you used f22 timing components, I just soldered the h22a4 alternator plug onto my harness and kept all h22 components, the wires are color matched so it was easy to hard wire together. Ive been seeing this guy with a prelude convert his power steering to electric and I think this route would be great to do since its a clean way to eliminate the pulley and reservoir tank. But love your process and story of your build.

On the oil pan just set the pan on, let the weight of the oil pan compress about 5-10 minutes then snug the bolts

I think we all are guilty of being a little too generous with the RTV/Honda Bond. There is definitely a learning curve, I try to make it look like it would from the factory with the least amount of seeping of HondaBond/RTV as possible. Seeing you're video makes me think I may have jumped the gun resealing my oil pan in my last video. I do have a steel pan on my F20b so there might be a difference, but I am thinking I am going to have to reseal my pan again. I finally got my rear main seal that I ordered nearly 2 weeks ago online. So I guess I will find out when I go out to the garage to install it 😂.. It was good to get a refresher on doing the rear main watching your video. Keep uploading brother, can't wait to see the first start!

Just a thought but when I did my h23 intake manifold I didn't put new hoses on that go under the intake manifold and it ended up being a headache. Easier to secure them and the manifold outside the car.i recommend thermal intake manifold gasket as well in case you need to taje it off you can reuse it

Thanks - the more I think about it, the manifold is going to be mounted while doing the wiring harness. Have that thermal intake gasket lined up too!

I've also was told by a h22 guru or g23 guru that on the accord chassis you need to switch pinouts a6 with a11 swap them around for egr and o2 sensor since they are backwards on preludes. Well I'm told for the 95 accord chassis anyway. Im not sure if cb7 90-93 will be the same

Wait I’m confused about the fuel injection so would I need custom fuel injectors to make it work or just h22a ones

Hey there. I'm doing a h22a4 swap auto tranny into my 1990 accord ex. I'm trying to figure out what ecu I have to use. The motor came with an obd2 ecu but I've been seeing that i need a p13 ecu. Any advise for me ? Thanks

Sucks you put to much honda bond. Honda specifications are to only apply in the corners and rounded part in the middle.

Only on the valve cover. The aluminum oil pans Honda specifies Hondabond all around as opposed to the steel pans which had a rubber gasket.
