In this video, I finally get some more progress done on the road / base tune for the EL Fairmont Ghia, using the T.I Performance J3 chip and TunerPro software.

The base tune is currently being done DIY style to suit the Crow 2221514 'Stage 4' cam.
The tune still needs a bit more tweaking, but is a work in progress. More to come in future episodes!

The EF fairmont Barra turbo is running sweet at the moment. I want to see more local ford and Holden content on KZfaq. An option to grow your channel could be showcasing local ford builds (think Ross reviews), reach out if you want to try it, my son would be happy to bring it around and be a guinea pig for you with our toy. (It's not the one on trademe) Either way keep up the good work mate.

Hey mate, I appreciate that comment and suggestion! Always thought the same exact thing, there's plenty of homegrown videos of the local Ford & Holden scene and builds over in Australia, but nothing really in our own backyard that I've seen. I've been a long time follower of Ross Reviews, so would be great to get to that level of content eventually. Work commitments and lack of proper camera and sound gear would make doing that difficult right now, but definitely something I want to try work towards in the near future to grow the channel! I will be in touch when I've got the gear ready - I'd be extremely keen to check out the turbo beast and get some footage of it!

Wasnt there a like a "accelerator pump" function somewhere int the software for the leaning out? Use a camera on the gauges for data logging thats what I done Great following you mate, keep up the good work

Hey mate, long time no see, hope you've been keeping well! Thanks for the suggestion on the data logging! I feel like an absolute idiot now because the data has literally been in front of me this whole time😂😂. Just scrolled back through the video and seen where it starts to lean out in the upper revs, is actually a bit earlier than the 5000rpm i was seeing - so that method of data logging is already starting to work a lot better than my pen & paper trick. I will have to investigate the 'accelerator pump' parameter - i don't recall seeing it in the parameter tree, but that could also just be this definition file not having that unlocked. Will have a look next time I jump on TunerPro👍🏻

My AU donk in my xh manual Ute was running white plugs for a while and engine temp would climb up quickly on hard driving found out I had a slight intake air leak from the T junction at the manifold and I followed the hose down behind the airbox to under the left guard to the charcoal canister, and it had a leak there, too so was sucking cold air straight in below the throttle body I fixed all that my plugs are running gold colour I’m just a poor boy no cam or chip or turbo yet

Oh thanks for that suggestion mate! Will have a look over that next time I get to this car. That canister didn't even cross my mind, but you're right, it definitely does have a vacuum line going to it so I will check that over👍🏻

I think i will be getting something sorted soon, doing this all on an Android phone is painful 😂😂. I have a Go Pro, just need some good mounting gear so hopefully that will be a massive help soon!

Definitely recommend 3.91s diff gear with stage 4 cam and auto 🤌

Good to know!! It sure as hell would help with the BTR gearbox's long gearing. Diff gears and a better LSD centre are definitely in the plans for this car now👍🏻
