Hi Matty just watched the weathering vid. I have just ordered a compressor to go with the air brush I've had donkies years. I'm going to give weathering some of my trains a go. I will have first go on some secondhand cheap wagons, then work my way up. I've used an airbrush many years ago and done a fair bit of spray painting, and art painting with a regular brush. So I'm not a total nubie. From what I've seen some remove the body but you are weathering the whole model there which is what I thought to do. Also I note that you use two colours. Of the models I have, both factory and shop weathered, some look like light earth and some rust. Along with black this I also had figured. Im guessing you're useing quite a lot of air to paint with the airbrush? And also that you have thined it somewhat to use in the airbrush, is there a particular ratio you can recomend? You using Humbrol or similar? Do you use enamels or acrylics, or both? All the best Paul.
