Man. I was five in November 2007; and now I'm sad that I'm not older so I could have appreciated Criss' beautiful talent when this was first uploaded.

It's 2023, and I was at his concert at the London Palladium. The joy I felt when he played this same song - not much changed since he uploaded it to youtube 16 years ago!

Can I just say how fucking talented he is? I'm learning his version of this song on the guitar and it's so fun, but you can only get so far by strumming along to the video. Watch his hands. He's throwing little grace notes in. He's strumming 32nd notes. He's doing little bass runs WHILE STRUMMING WITH A PICK, and not to mention the muting, and the key change and the little riff at the end... If I ever get half as good as him, I'll be completely satisfied with my life.

I wish we could hear his voice better, the gutiar really drowns him out. But I love Darren's Disney covers!! and I secretly love how messy his room is, IDK why but I really love that its not perfect everything in its place!!

One of my favourite things about Darren's music (other than the music itself, he really is brilliant) is that when he covers a song he doesn't change the gendered words. I wish more people were confident enough to do that. I've got no problem with singing the male parts of songs, they're usually more in my range anyways!

I found this cover on the fifteenth of November 2007, and back then I had no idea what kind of influence this man would have on me. I loved his voice, his hair, and just the atmosphere about him... thank you for six and a half amazing years, Darren. You'll always mean the world to me. ♡

I love how instead of focusing on things like vibrato in his singing, he puts emotion and feeling into his singing. Man I remember watching this video about 7 years ago and falling in love with this version! I subscribed and I was an instant fan!! Then when I saw him on the second season of glee I literally screamed!!!!!! I am soooooo happy that he made it!! He deserves it!

You know how some male singers will change the gender of the character in a song to match their own? I HATE it when they do that. I don't know if they aren't confident enough in their masculinity to call themselves a "girl" or if they are doing it because they can only relate to the song if it's about themselves. But I just have to say, I love that Darren Criss never changed the lyrics and sang these songs in such a unique way, presenting them with the right emotion.

I can never watch one of these videos without crying because I'm so proud. Nearly 5 years later and he's a regular on one of the most popular TV shows in the world, signed to Sony Records and is 3rd Sexiest Man Alive according to the 2011 People's Magazine. He's done all this and is still singing songs like this at his concerts, showing that he doesn't care about the fame, he'll never let it get to his head. This is why Darren is my idol.
