Reid Racing Jeep Heavy Duty JK Dana 30 - Rubicon 44 Knuckles:
=====================================================
reidracing.biz...
Product Description:
The new Jeep Wrangler JK Dana 30/Rubicon 44 knuckles are heavy duty stock replacement knuckles. Raised steering linkage, dual steering stops, and increased strength are the primary improvements while installation is simplified by allowing the OEM “outers” to be reused.
Sold individually
JK001L (left, driver’s side)
JK001R (right, passenger’s side)
Uses stock 2007+ Jeep Wrangler JK brake rotors, calipers, stub shafts and U-joints.
Fits JK Dana 30, JK Rubicon Dana 44, and Mopar & aftermarket JK axles.
Easy bolt-on installation with no machining required.
Aftermarket high strength axle shafts, U-joints/CV joints, and stub shafts can be used.
Antilock Brakes, Traction Control, and Electronic Stability Control systems remain fully operational.
Steering linkage is raised as high as possible while retaining clearance for OEM Jeep and most aftermarket wheels.
Tie Rod gains 1.5 inches of clearance to minimize vulnerability to trail damage.
Drag Link is flipped and gains 3 inches of height to perfectly correct the steering geometry for the common 3-4 inch suspension lift; minimizes additional steering correction for taller suspension lifts. Requires an aftermarket drag link, and we recommend a track bar bracket to eliminate bump steer. Works with any standard JK drag link flip kit.
Cast from high strength ductile iron.
Beefed up with extra material and ribbing.
Cast-in DUAL steering stops eliminate bent stop bolts that can cause u-joint and axle failures.
Tapered tie rod holes fit OEM-size tie rod ends; “1-ton” tie rod ends used in some aftermarket steering linkage may require very minor modification - call for details.
Tie rod holes can be drilled to accept 3/4″ heim ends.
Powder coated bright orange for long lasting looks.
Download instructions here.
Dealer inquiries welcome. Knuckles for off road use only.
There is no warranty on this product.

Looking forward to the discussion re: anti-seize and thread locker. Agree that marine-grade is the way to go (for everything on the Jeep, actually).

Awesome build 👍 and All that done in your Driveway , after a frozen header bolt 😱 I've been using Antiseeze on just about every bolt that comes out of my Jeep anymore.

Set old knuckles on a flat surface and with a mini level measure up to top of stock knuckle stops and file down reid's with that measurement

between the unit bearing and the knuckle would have been a good place for anti-seize to prevent having to drive it off down the road

What size lift were you running at this time? What are your thoughts with running this after driving it for a while....I have a drag link flip kit and I am considering these.

While these are a nice to have, no one tells you how BAD it makes your steering! By moving up the drag link the physics changed and the steering gets very hard-especially with 35” and larger tires. My JK became nearly unbearable after doing a high steer on 37s with stock steering box. Later upgraded to the full PSC XD kit and that made it better than ever.

I must have missed the why.... I think I would have upgraded to RCVs and a PSC big bore before changing out an already beefy steering system.

o3djeeps [ OVERCLOCK3D Jeeps ] ok, because I’ve been adding things to my build list looked at these knuckles and thought welp can’t do it because I have the Teraflex 3” lift and heavy duty drag link and tie rod
@o3djeeps
@o3djeeps 6 жыл бұрын
Ljr Kelly yeah... You'd have to get their flip kit or another top mount draglink. Which is a good idea even if you don't switch knuckles.

How much should they be? You could develop some steering knuckles of your own , cast them, machine them etc and sell them way cheaper. Let us know how that works out.😎
