Acrually no, the oil was already warm and the car was already driven before and you can see that by the way the coolant needle rises very fast, this would not be the case if the engine and oil were completely cold.

No problems. It was very good. Only problem I had was egr valve cooler - it is made from aluminium and it had small hole in it so it made hissing sound while accelerating, and lost some boost there, but it wasn't big deal. You also must check hexagonal shaft on oil pump, it needs replacement before it fails. That is cheap fix. Suspension was simple and robust. Only problem was electronic parking brake, but there are lots of replacement parts now. Overall very good an reliable car. Ask anything you want.

I'm sorry to hear you had problems.This model does not have diesel pump, it's a PD engine - pumpe duse, meaning every injector has its own little pump which is activated by the camshaft which presses it from above like syringe and injects the fuel in the chamber. However these engines had other problems, like injector faults on engines with siemens electronics. Engines with Bosch electronics, like 2.0 TDI BMP engine in this video were much more reliable, although they had other issues like oil pump problems and EGR faults. Models after 2008 had diesel pump as they were common rail diesel. I sold mine at 230.000km, had no issues with it at all, after that I had b7, also no problems.
