Passed NCLEX in 60 Questions but, Ya girl can't find no job sis!!!!! 😅😢😭
(New ADN Grad Job Update)
Hello Loves!
In this video I will keep it real and tell you about this new nurse graduate struggle as an ADN! I passed my nclex in 60 questions on the first try! I will explain some things I have been going through as a new grad, which includes a lot of disappointments. I have not received any first nursing job interviews since graduating. I thought the challenges were left behind in nursing school, but BOY WAS I WRONG! I know that working as a nurse during covid is very difficult so I do not want to rush into a job I would have to settle for.
Hope you all enjoy!

It took me 6 months to find a job out of school (with my BSN) and I was applying while I was still in school. I’m so glad I waited and didn’t rush into anything because I ended up landing a new grad NICU job. Patience is key!! You’ll find where you’re meant to be!

I feel you, it sucks having graduated in December & seeing all my new grad nursing friends getting jobs while i’m still applying and not getting any offers! But I know God has a plan and I refuse to settle. I plan to work hard for the actual job I want. Continue to be positive love!

ADN nurse here! I was so relieved when I saw you have hope cause I feel like i have been lacking hope for quite a while. ADNs are pushed away even though we all have to go thru 4 years of school (yes! 4 years! 2 years of GE and prereqs + 2 years of the actual nursing program, which is the same for BSN - they get into nursing school and do their prerequisites as part of the program). DISCOURAGED is how I feel right now! I hope you find a job, I hope we all do.

Yess girll I remember that Houston rain a couple of days ago. I live in apartments near the Acres Homes area and those gray clouds were making me run back and forth from the laundrymat. Girl I'm ALREADY anxious about graduating with an ADN & I'm not even in a nursing school yet. I thought that living in Houston new grad nurses would be getting job offers left and right. I want to be a NICU nurse, what specialty do you want to work in within Pediatrics? LOVE LOVE LOVE your amazing videos!

I’m doing the Accelerated BSN at UTA ... it’s expensive so I’m not sure I’m just trying to get the RN licensure so I may look at the ADN. I don’t plan on working bedside but in the healthcare industry which I have for about 20 yrs plus I have 2 graduate degrees already and personally IM SICK OF SCHOOL ( well the cost) what I will say and you already seem positive is stay focused and don’t always look at the traditional route today’s economy is so different you have to be creative at times. You seem smart so I see you going places ✊🏾✌🏽

Such an important topic rn because I graduated with my BSN early May and had a job but with the whole pandemic, I got let go 3 days before my start date because my unit closed. There were like no jobs that were promising to me since all the hospitals seemed like they were looking for anything but new grads lol I eventually got my previous job back right after taking my NCLEX. It was like they were waiting for it! It’s not my favorite unit but I pray you land where you are meant to be! I say all this to say God’s timing is always perfect- it’s coming❤️

Stay positive here in California it’s the same... I would recommend looking for jobs at nursing homes, or even volunteer work, it’s going to look good when you interview to see you were at least working in between your ideal job.

I can do it but I really don’t want to. 🤣 I want something in peds as well. And let’s talk about why it’s takes so long to review an application 😭 I am TIRED. Need a job like yesterday. 😩

Davita dialysis hires new grades. The company is nation wide. New grads in New York start at 35hr. You have to check your state. Go to the web site DaVita.com this job works well while you are in school for you BSN. I’ve been with the company for 21yrs as a LPN and I am currently finishing up with my BSN program in nursing. So check it out it may work for you as a start. Good luck. 😉
