Muslim should pray in the proper place 'mosque or home'. We cannot blame someone who pass in front of the one who pray in the middle of the door.

praying in public is not improper, praying in the middle of the door is wrong, but sometimes it happens while you're praying at home and someone wants to pass by to do smth in the room, we know that the act of passing in front of someone is bad so unless there's an urgency then it's still bad for you to pass.

Praying in public is okay, if a proper mosque is too small or unavailable. Eid Al Fitr prayer in Indonesia happens in the public space: park, town hall, football field, etc. Sometimes they go as far to the street. The street is empty anyway, everyone is praying. The cities is silent for a few hours in the morning.

Sometimes from my experience especially in few places like al quba mosque that are visited really often by people they aren’t intentionally filling up those spaces, rather they just kinda pray where it’s empty at the current time they went in. So let’s say there are lots of people at the time when they come but when you come those people may already finish their prayer and move but the person still pray is kinda look like they’re in the way intentionally when they are not.

@@aha.. bruh she couldve been praying in the park in an open space or somewhere where people can easily go around her. Also, maybe she was outside at the time with family or just outside and needed to pray as she couldnt access a mosque or her house, maybe not for piety. Many people pray outside in public when they have some special occasion or have to spend the whole day out.
@aha..
@aha.. Жыл бұрын
@D34TH D4Y Whatever be the reason, still why the angry look as if she alone had the right to be there or as if somebody forced into her space! It's that attitude that's all the more annoying. Moreover, if it was just a prayer in a needy time it is relatable. But cannot stand the display of mats and that too obstructing the paths of unexpected others. Even, I as a Christian have prayed in public when I felt the need to. But it is not a display on purpose by taking off others space or attention. It's a communication between you and your Lord, who owns you.
@d34thd4y4
@d34thd4y4 Жыл бұрын
@@aha.. You can understand her madness because it's not recommended to go in front. Yes, she shouldn't have given an angry look, but since the context is unknown, she could have been in a park or wide space where people can easily pass behind or around, or passed from in front with some distance. Also, using a mat is generally better for prayer, and many people use mats to pray outside as its better on them then the grass or the ground ('Ritual purity is extremely important for Muslim prayers practices. As Islamic studies scholar Marion Katz explains, prayer carpets provide a protective layer between the worshiper and the ground, protecting the clothing from anything on ground that is polluting'). Also, maybe she wasn't taking up all of the space, and there was a lot of space present. If she was praying in a place where she obstructed others from passing by (like the sidewalk/footpath) then yeah I'd agree she is in the wrong as she should have looked for a better spot. But if it was in a park, with lots of space, then you can understand her reaction, although the angry look wasn't needed, it may have been a moment of frustration.

There's this one time back at middle school, my school got a mosque for us to pray (due to the budget, the place is small). My teacher was a masbuk and the only place left for him to pray is in front of the gate.since our school is in a Muslim majority, it's crowded. So due to the crowd I didn't see my teacher there but, I made sure I stick to the space between each sajadah, as to not step on it and making sure to not bother anyone's praying. But still, i got punished for it. Man I wish I got more money rn so that I can donate them to make the mosque more larger so things like that won't happen again.

1. It's disrespectful to pray out in public, disrupting others public path nor is it public manners either. Prayer is not a public display of religious piety and fervour. In Matthew 6:6, Jesus said about prayer - 5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

I saw the people taking the utilized water impatiently and whoever got some of it rubbed it on his body and those who could not get any took the moisture from the others' hands. Then I saw Bilal carrying a short spear (or stick) which he planted in the ground. The Prophet (ﷺ) came out tucking up his red cloak, and led the people in prayer and offered two rak`at (facing the Ka`ba) taking a short spear (or stick) as a Sutra for his prayer. I saw the people and animals passing in front of him beyond the stick. I do know of the rules of how to go walk around and/or past someone performing sålat, but it is the hadith that I've misinterpreted after learning it from my ustad 8 years ago. I thought it was sth like "If you past through someone performing sålat, the sin of passing through surpasses the sins accumulated if you sat and do nothing for 40 years."
