Hello from the forest 🌲
Imagine being in the woods in the middle of the night, wind in the trees, crickets chirping and suddenly your hear magical voices singing from afar.. you follow them trying to find out who it is.. and find a procession of Elves.
This is a live loop of the song 'Passing of the Elves' - a beautiful and sad scene from Lord of the Rings where the elves leave middle earth. It reminds me a lot of the story of Avalon where the magical island also vanished into the mists of oblivion. Where priestesses, druids, elves and magical beings where slowly expelled and forgotten by mankind. For me, the elves represent our higher self and mankind our ego. These stories are a representation of what happened within our own minds. So remembering the magic of the old times is an invitation to remember our own true self, to remember who we truly are 🤍🕊

Always adored the harmonies of this piece. I think Howard Shore used a Phrygian scale for all the elven parts of LOTR. Such an otherworldly sound. Love your version with its gentle forest ambience. 💚

Thank you so much, happy you like my version 🙏🏼 Yess this piece really sounds quite otherworldly, so interesting what you say about the phrygian scale too! This song in particular wasn't composed by Howard Shore though, but someone else. Maybe that's also why it's so different. All the Elven songs in Lord of the Rings are super beautiful and magical though.. just divine music 🥲✨

This is incredibly beautiful and calming, but as a languages/tolkien enthusiast I have to say yours is the best pronunciation of sindarin I've ever heard in a cover (or even in the movies for that matter) y ia actually a /y/ (german ü) and not just an i and you even pronounce the double consonants, this is so refreshing really, good work!

Well that's just lovely. I'd love to hear you do this: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hrKVeKae0663qJs.html&ab_channel=Oglio which is the only piece of music we have which was composed by Tolkien, and thus what he conceived Elvish music to sound like. The Fellowship does a good job, and I love the aethereal orchestration, but you have a more beautiful voice.
