Am I the only one watching this situation and all the reactions and outcry and opinions, and thinking “Wow. People just hate women.” I really respect the Church and whatever doctrines people want to love by, but i see 98% of reactions are “she for the streets” and “he should have known”. Where is the “He could have used discernment”, “It was his choice to pursue a “woman of the world”? I’m just pretty annoyed with the demonizing of women in these situations, without holding the men to their own accountability. He knew she was in the entertainment industry. Hes the man in the relationship. Like Janice said the “Pastor” should have properly aligned the Word with his life choices.

I almost married a man I knew God told me not too. I ignored all red flags because I wanted to be married. God removed him from my life and I am grateful. It was hard but I see everything for what it was.

This pastor was walking in the flesh. Even unbelievers don’t want their wives “assets” out in public.

He went for looks. Sad. Men do this all the time

He lying on God, he needs to admit he followed his flesh. He went against the word, he saw that she was not a wife. Oh thank you so much for giving this excellent word.

I too married an unbeliever and it ended up in a divorce. Dated after that and it ended in a failed relationship. Learnt my lesson well. Stick to the word of God. God can and will give you what you ask if it lines up to his word.

One thing God taught me , God taught me: "If you heard me tell you to do something and what im asking you to do Does not ALign with scripture such as the fruits of the spirit etc. THen then truth is , You did not hear me talk to you, either that was gas , the devil talking to you, or your own emotions and mind, dont confuse those voices with mine". #PERIODT.

Please pray for Devon & Megan they need prayer and we all make mistakes and make bad choices I'm not saying they did but give them the same grace you would want if it where you!

Sometimes we have so much physical attraction with someone that we ignore the obvious red flags and we consume ourselves trying to fix the situation And force things to make them work .From my own experience I tried it and failed that is what happened to him .....been there but thanks God I didn't marry my ex and we didn't have children and I am in my early 30's so God had Mercy on me

Great points but I wouldn't go as far as to say she was an "unbeliever". She has publicly acknowledged that she did alot that was not of the faith but at a certain point, she prayed and God told her to keep working on her past traumas and herself and continue celebilicy. We all have had a walk to get where we are now- some have been on our walk longer than others. I believe she was evolving in Christ and Devon was there to help her and they began their walk together then. We are all STILL evolving. Kudos to her for recognizing she needed God and needed a change. Conviction of her or where she was in life is not our job.

Sister, I just left a man in August because he wasn't a believer. Truth is a got with him for the wrong reasons because my walk with the Lord was wayward. But I made a decision to make Him Lord of all and left. God is good and I will not make another move without Him!!

AMEN on your message. The Holy Spirit showed me at first sight how a particular dude was fronting, pretending. My mistake was that I looked away and when I looked back, I saw the opposite and looking at my situation then thought I was judging and he was the answer to my problems. The whole time I kept getting flags, and eventually went along. Wow, those months following was a NIGHTMARE. What was shown to me was a warning that I questioned. Thank God for His mercy, God turned things around and protected and blessed me to escape every wicked trick thrown at me. I am learning WHEN IN DOUBT Be still, do nothing and WAIT on The Lord at ALL TIMES.

I remember Devon and Megan were on a talk show when someone from the audience asked Megan how can she as a woman of God, someone who others look up to as an example, not be concerned about modesty. Devon immediately rebuked the devil. It was clear to me, like Samson, he is in the flesh.

Line it up to the scripture!!!!! I did that to my husband and 22 years later still going strong.

I have been a believer of Christ for a very long time. Let me tell you it is not an easy walk at all. I love Christ and made so many mistakes along the way. Sometimes we get so confused on this walk. It's a balance of us wanting happiness for ourselves and wanting to please the Lord. Most of us will not hv a smooth walk with God primarily based on our weaknesses and disobedience. In the Bible a lot of God chosen struggled with obedience at times and most often. God still gave them favor. I'm not judging anybody but I wish them the best. I pray that Meagan, myself, and everyone get it right with Christ because we all have to go stand before the Lord on Judgement day.

I don't fully understand what happened in their marriage. I love the both of them. Although I don't agree with all the things Megan does, I think she's beautiful, humble, sensitive and a sweet woman from what I can see. I also know that in the bible God has asked people to do some strange things. Not saying that Megan is a prostitute because she's definitely not. But this is just a general statement for women and men who are waiting to hear from God concerning who they're supposed to marry. Often times, single men and women want to hear from God and make the right decision. I've read in the Bible where God told Hosea to marry the prostitute Gomer. I found that to be odd. So in this case how does one discern? Is God still doing this today? Is He using us to set an example. Many questions I have but I will read and study further. I do know that God was using Hosea and the prostitute as an example of the relationship He had with Israel. But God did restore His relationship with Israel. So I can't say Megan and Devon didn't hear from God. Many things may not seem right in Megan and Devon's marriage but every marriage isn't perfect. God can turn anything around. I'm praying for the both of them. May God's will be done.

Why this couple became "the example"/goals and rep for Christian marriage I dont know. Ppl really living this life for real knew bruh was on one from the beginning. His actions spoke so much louder than his words. At this point, lets be clear, the fact that he married her...she yours now sir...divorcing lest for a certain reason is not of God either. He got as many issues as she does with motives/maturity/walk. Praying for them that they REALLY find the Lord for their lives and HIS will, not theirs. As Christians, may we learn how to use discernment and wisdom to stay on that narrow road that truly keeps us in line with God and his ways and HIS word, not this world or our own darkness.

This is so typical of some Christians. To criticize and judge another. No one here has the right to label Megan, judge Devon, make assumptions abt their marriage or relationship. We cannot judge anyone's walk. None of us are perfect. Decisions made by believers may be perceived by others incorrectly. We are to pray for them. Not gossip about them or their situation. OMG, I am crying because this word is so true!! I disobey and married a man I knew was supposed to marry. God is clear!!

I'm not married but grew up as a Catholic then got out at age 14. I went back to church in 2012 in a Christian church but could not get converted since I was already in a relationship. Men.... It was not until 2018 when I realized marriage wasn't coming, I decided to travel out of the country. I found a church, got convicted by the holy spirit and decided to baptized. All this time I was still in the relationship but separated by the ocean since we were in two different countries. When I told him I was getting baptized, that's when he told me he didn't believe in God. You all, believe me when I say I only thought all these years he didn't believe in going to church... Hmmm that's why we never got married. Now I'm free and single.. relationship of 14 years, living with a desire to serve God with my life but could not due to the relationship. We need to be mindful of the people we choose to be with and not allow emotion to drive us into entanglement, but seek God's answer in every action we take. As a believer and I mean true believer of Christ we must get the signs as we go into situations. He always shows us.

Build a man. He tried to build a woman-doesnt work either way. He was excited about the project.

There is someone else he wants to be with. Someone sitting in the first pew of the church, smiling at him every Sunday while Megan was some where filming.

Maybe he thought it would be like in the book of Hosea where God told him to stay with his wife who was a harlot (not saying that Megan is anything like that). God blessed him for his obedience and sacrifice. Maybe that's what Devon thought too.

She did say she wanted him first and I do believe she made it known to him (even if subtly or indirectly) that she’s interested. Her being interested first was the first problem, role reversal is mostly always disastrous. But he did make a decision to be with her and he’s responsible for his choices. I don’t even want to get into the “God told me” statements. Neither of them were listening to God through that courtship phase.

There was Hosea...but that was for a purpose. AND Hosea NEVER condoned his wife's sin. Praying for them... THAT we can do "in Jesus name" 🙏

In Hosea, God did require Hosea to marry Gomer who was a "wordly woman"; a prostitute who worshipped and sexually sacrificed to Baal. Hosea did not want to marry Gomer because she was not a woman of God, but God required him to. After Hosea married Gomer, she kept running back to the temple of Baal engaging in sexual fornication, etc. Eventually, God used Hosea's obedience to demonstrate His unfailing love to the children of Israel, who were constantly disobedient serving Satan's pagan gods. In my experience, I was required by my Father in Heaven to marry the "minister" I did not want. When I tried to back out of the marriage, the Lord weighed heavy on my heart and I knew that I would be in disobedience. 6-1/2 years later, God delivered me from the marriage. I now understand that God trusted me to be an example for the man he required me to marry - for his salvation. Instead, the man resented me and my relationship with God, and refused to soften his heart to God. There are some of us who have a different spiritual journey than the masses of those who profess Christ as their Lord and Savior. Whenever God called a prophet to do something, it was always something the prophet di not want to do or would require sacrifice of self to do. Also, the Bible was written about the history of the children of Israel and how He wanted to keep them separated from the rebellious, disobedient practices and behaviors of the other nations of people who were enemies to God and His laws. Obedience to God will not always be wrapped in a pretty bow, so just because it doesn't look pretty and smooth and easy for you does not mean that God did not require that for the one He chose to endure it. James says, "Count it all joy when you go through various trials and tribulations for it is the perfecting of our faith." Just as God wanted me to bring the "minister" I was married to in to real relationship with Him, God may have wanted Devon Franklin to bring Megan Good in to Salvation. When you are truly submitted to the Father, you know you will always die to your flesh to obey His commands. The more obedient we are to the Father with requests that cause us trials, the more God trust's us for even harder trials and tribulations. Our response to be obedient establishes God's remnant.

Devon thought Megan was sexy and beautiful ( because she is) and because of that the list he had no longer mattered to him. However , the minute he chose to marry her, he should have honored his commitment before God by not divorcing her unless adultery was involved. The issue I have with the church is that they come down hard on how women should present themselves but don’t encourage the young men to choose chaste women as wives. Many of these young women become frustrated and leave or end up living double lives. God didn’t tell Devon to marry Megan and he didn’t tell him to divorce her either.

I also think that it’s so painful to see the people of God are quick to start casting judgement on others life. Why would anyone be drawn to Christianity when things aren’t really being discussed in love.

Meagan has always said that she became a Christian at 19, so it is wrong of you to say that she was not a believer when she and Devon met, and she had already been celibate and praying for a deeper spiritual connection and God's guidance in her life. As a preacher's kid myself, it is so crazy to me that so many Christians have been and are so judgemental of Meagan and trying to make her out to be some kind of "Jezebel hussy" when that is not her real-life persona or character. Devon named 3 things (NOT "everything he didn't want"): actress, smoking (of which she stopped), and drinking - he didn't say she was not a believer because she was.

But how are people going to test the Truth of the Word if they don't read/study the Word with the Holy Spirit. People please study and ask God for understanding so that you won't deceived. This lady is 100% correct. God will never contradict His own Word and what He is speaking is already spoken in the written Word. But if you don't know the written Word, how are you to test the Truth. The Word of God is always right no matter what we hear, believe or think. The Word is above all. It's fixed and assured, and it's everlasting.

I have been listening to a bunch of things regarding these two people... At the end of the day nomatter what we all think and all the judgements we can pass.. These are two real people with real emotions who are accountable for their own actions and allowed to make decisions the way they want to.. Don't speak on behalf of God for either of them, God knows the truth between the two of them, yes there is the word of God but don't bash people on that basis without being the people in the situation, none of us were there when they decided to get together, when they made their respective analysis of each other and chose to marry, in the same way we weren't there on their road to separation and divorce... If anything may God heal both of them and may His purpose in both their lives still manifest regardless of this ending in their journey together in life... Marriage has its challenges even for people who seem equally yoked, I have never been married therefore I cannot comment, I have no right to judge anything either... To me they are two fellow believers, I hope they find peace and healing, as they are both influential, it will be great to see God work in them anyway to advance His kingdom mandate on earth...

Sister I married a man in 20’s that believed but didn’t attend service. 20 years later he is the Best Family Man. No Regret, I learned me more and have lessons to teach and share. Speak more broadly of what you would not do, but allow space for Our All Knowing Lord to work with broken people who you cannot reach.
