There is nothing that says anything about the very nature of anyone except that we are born into sin - only the Grace and mercy of God, and the daily denial of ourselves to be filled with the power of Christ that is made complete in our weakness. So you have no idea what types of sins that we have have been subjected to - God is the ultimate authority and shames satan by allowing us to be pruned so that we might shed our old ways. Everyone and everything is made for the glory of God. God said he made the blind and the seeing. Would you suppose that even sin itself is a human problem? Sin still has very negative consequences for believers but they not condemned to eternal separation from God.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure Jesus taught of hell and sin to those that were under the law of sin. Hence why repentance was only preached to the Jews, as they were under the law via the Covenant with Moses and the Israelites. New Covenant didn't have a law of sin, only the Commandment to love thy neighbor, which was called the law of the Spirit. Jesus also tried to teach the Jews of they hypocrisy and unrighteous judgements, which most "Christians" seem to have adopted from the Jews rather than heeding Jesus' advice. And there is no scripture that ever pegged "homosexuality" as a sin. A truth that they try to get around by taking single verses out of context.

The only reason why homosexuality seems like a heavier cross to bear is because there is a lot of tension regarding that issue in the secular society. In God's view, homosexuality is no different than stealing, lying, murder, etc. Likewise, since men are inherently sinful in nature, God sent Jesus as atonement for our sins (including homosexuality, lust, greed, etc). People who categorize homosexuality as some sort of special sin are mislead...

Nature had to do with custom, not biology. Unless of course you believe that NATURE controls the length of a man's hair. It is the same Greek word for "nature/natural" in Greek translated in 1 Cor 11 as it is in Romans . "phusis " We are to interpret Scripture with other Scripture. A word cannot mean one thing in one verse and something else in another. None of these verses give clear condemnation of homosexuality. It only proves it is wrong in certain circumstances; just as heterosexuality is wrong in certain circumstances.

The plural Hebrew word mish-che-ve (the bedding of) appears only 3 times in the Hebrew OT. The three places are at: Gen. 49:4, Lev. 18:22 & Lev. 20:13. The "bedding" or "bed" in tents consisted of the mattress which was stuffed with straw or feathers or animal skins spread out. So, I have just shown that it had to do with lying with a man on the bedding of a woman. Let me save us both some time and I'll predict your next move. You will say that most scholars do not agree with that translation or interpretation, right? The proof that I have the correct translation for Lev 18:22 and 20:13, ""Bedding" is the most widely attested translation of "mish'k' vei"" (The dictionary of classical Hebrew Sheffield: Volume V Nun-Mem Ed. David J.A Clines. Sheffield Accademic Press, 200, p.526) There's your proof. Since WE KNOW FOR A FACT that your translation is incorrect, what say you? So, looking at the meaning of the original text, we get a little closer with "Likewise male shall not lie bed wife is hated it". Fixing the grammar just a touch can give us a better translation of "Likewise, (you) shall not lie down with a man in (your) wife's bed. It is hated." This actually makes sense in the context of the entire chapter, which also prohibits incest of various forms, and other sections of Leviticus that prohibit adultery. Many Christians don't realize that some men today will pretend that homosexual sex isn't adultery because it's not "real sex"; I wouldn't be surprised if this was going on in the days of Moses as well. And of course, it makes sense that the Bible would prohibit same-sex adultery. What doesn't make sense is why the Bible would prohibit two males from having sex (under any circumstances) and not prohibit two females. I challenged you to show where the Bible condemns (present tense) homosexuality. When one interprets the Bible, they interpret Bible passages with other Bible passages. You cannot "cherry pick" verses from the Old Testament and not address the verses in New Testament unless you are Jewish and you reject the New Testament. Furthermore, either you follow ALL the laws in the Old Testament or you don't. Who gave you the right to decide that homosexuality is wrong, but trimming your beard is not (Lev 19:27)? What about eating shellfish, pork (Lev 11) wearing clothing that is made with more than one type of fabric (Deut 22:11), keeping the sabbath (Deut 5:12), ect?

If the New Testament is God's Word or the "Holy Scriptures" , how do you reconcile these verses? Furthermore, I find it interesting that in John 1:1 The "Word" is defined for us and there is no mention of the Bible (the word "Bible" isn't even in the Bible) and neither is the word "Scripture". It says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Drop down to verse 14, "The Word became flesh (Jesus) and dwelt among us..." Since you claim to have the correct interpretation when it comes to Biblical teachings, I have a question for ya. Since you believe the Bible is the "Word" and John 1 says that the "Word" is God, then you must believe the Bible is GOD in book form! If not, why not? Sad thing is that you condemn an entire group of people to hell and when asked WHY, you go into a rant about how they cannot be a Christian because apparently their 'sin' is worse than any other sin. In fact, it's so bad that it will keep the out of heaven after they accept Christ. Look Mary, you had a pretty simple task before you; I asked you to show me one verse that condemns 2 members of the same sex in a loving and committed relationship and to this date, you have failed to do so. Leviticus 18:27 says that all the listed things were abominations. And that the land was defiled for it. Try to come up with the land being defiled because 2 men had a relationship together. There was a reason the Leviticus 18:22 had to stress that the homosexual equivalent of the acts that were being committed were still an abomination, and it is found in the verse right before it.

A male may have early childhood trauma and/or, a lack of a strong father figure in his life to give him proper affirmation which can lead to homosexual desires. Another person may have early childhood trauma leading them to develop self-loathing and thus, harmful activities. The sin nature was the same as mine and everyone else's but various influences pushed them in a certain direction to sin in certain ways. The law is a mirror of our heart's condition. It shows us that we can never measure up to God's standard of perfection. You have to be as perfect as God to get into Heaven. Since that's impossible for us to do, Christ did it for us. Post-salvation, the life of the believer is to become in practice what we are by position. We are sanctified positionally and sanctified progressively; experientially. We are being conformed to the image of Christ more and more our entire lives after that moment of regeneration and belief. There is still right and wrong. There are things that are sin. Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?" I can't even fathom how anyone can explain away all those N.T. scriptures condemning homosexual behavior. It also doesn't make any sense why someone would think that what God said about homosexual behavior in the O.T. is somehow null and void since Jesus took our sins on Himself. Murder is the opposite of love. Theft, lying, selfish ambition, laziness, pride, lust, adultery, fornication; We are not suddenly let off the hook from obeying the commands to refrain from taking part in these activities. There's a lot of talk, throughout the N.T. regarding sinful activities that we must be careful to avoid. All these things fall under the summation of the law; love God and your neighbor. If a person has the ongoing sin of homosexual behavior without the inner conviction of the Holy Spirit that they are sinning then, they may not have the indwelling Holy Spirit. They were probably never regenerated in the first place. True born again believers who sin are convicted by the Holy Spirit and they will be miserable until they repent. They are not being saved all over again, since that's a one-time action on God's part but their hearts are realigned with God's heart and purposes. Christians are called to judge each other: "For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.” 1 Corinthians 5:13. Our judgement is not one of the hidden motives of the heart but rather, the works that can be seen. Matthew 18 gives us the protocol for dealing with sin in another brother. Love always but don't tolerate known sin. To tolerate ongoing homosexual behavior in another is to hate them and to hate God because it destroys the homosexual offender and continually offends God's holiness. "for there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized." 1 Cor. 11:19 --We are not to have unity at any cost but must discern truth from error. Yes I wonder what his answer would have been about adultery, child molesting, rape, porn and sex trafficking. If he can't take a stand on one, then he won't take a firm stand on all the other sexual sins. God included all of this in His Word so we wouldn't be hurt by wrong choices. If you have a family member that's a drug addict or alcoholic, wouldn't you tell them what he or she is doing is wrong, a sin? You tell them because you love them, not because you hate them. The same is true for all the sex sins mentioned in the Bible. We tell people what God's Word says because we love them and don't want to see them be hurt. No, it is not a choice, I’m a ‘homosexual’ myself as it is termed so in todays age, from as early as 7 I knew, I was attracted too males and not females, right through childhood aswell as adolescence, everybody else knew I was too from the age of 5, and I didn’t really have too ‘come out’ per say in late adolescence, YOU DO NOT choose whom you are sexually attracted too, I have had experiences with females in adolescence that did NOT feel right and that wasn’t whom I was, I cannot ‘choose’ as you say too be heterosexual, the same as you cannot I’m presuming choose whom you are attracted too, I don’t conform nor feel the need too assign myself too an LGBT lifestyle, I’m a man on this earth that has always been attracted too the same sex, it is what it is!

Its frustrating, because I consider homosexuality as a sin, that is why I don't support gay marriage. Unlike modern culture in Finland, I highly value the marriage and the commitment.
