someone in Doan's position probably wouldn't sweat 2,000 dollars, but this guy is cognizant enough to understand that this is cost prohibitive for most folks. Really insightful guy. This type of NHL content is so much better than the sanitized stuff that is generated by the large networks etc. keep it comin.

I wonder if Pat has even seen the full clip. Every version of the clip I have seen uploaded on the internet conveniently ends early. Immediately after those recordings end, Jack said something to the effect of - "Pat is a great player, and his high effort has been appreciated by every teammate he has ever had." Actually a really nice compliment which came across as genuine - but of course this is cut out on the recordings because of people trying to spin a story. In my opinion the part that was cut out changes the tone of the comments completely. It's unfortunate that you basically had to be watching the game to hear this part, since everyone edited it out before uploading.

There's a big difference between players chirping other players on the ice and a broadcaster doing it on tv. Announcers are supposed to be professional but Jack Edwards acts like an immature clown on a regular basis. He's a douche.

The only reason I see for this is if he wasn’t a drinker and they were making him bring it in so he just grabs what he would be drinking and saves them to bring back in. Would literally make no difference in cost for the guys that drink and they would have a bit of variety on beer bandits night. If he’s drinking and bagging some to pass off as his own to bring back in then that’s a scumbag move.

I know Jack Edwards can be an annoying announcer, but it’s a NHL chirp. It’s a joke, have u ever heard of poking fun at players? Jack Edwards is a muppet. Yeah, it is an NHL chirp, but Jack Edwards isnt an NHL player so he should stay in his lane. No need to spend over a minute, beaking a pro athlete on national tv when they cant even respond to you. People are just seeing it as an absolute coward move by a coward commentator, and rightfully so.

@@bostonwarrior4824 but it didnt entertain anybody. His job is to call the play by play. Hes not the colour commentator (whose sole job is to entertain), and he didnt call the play for over a minute. If thats the material he needs, then he should just retire. Because not a single other announcer takes these liberties. Just because its his right, doesnt make it any less cowardly. Quit sucking Edwards off, hes literally the worst the NHL has to offer.
