Watching this, I have to remind myself that the late Mr. Connery was a tall guy. Just shows how much of a hulking behemoth the late Mr. Roach was.

It's a Smith machine bench press lads. In most gyms nowadays. Allows you to bench press and squat. They just allow more stability and safety when you are lifting as opposed to the normal barbell bench press where you really need somebody spotting you.

How good was it when you could have a fight scene without any music or janky action camera and action cuts every 2 milliseconds. The forgotten movie art of just letting 2 dudes take their time beating the shit out of each other.

Wow,i bought a vauxhall astra gearbox of Pat Roach in 1994 from his scrapyard in winson green.He was sat in a caravan,as he took the cash off me.I didnt know he was in some big films!

I met Pat once when I was around 17 years old. He popped his head around in a garage I was training at in Birmingham, UK. He asked me if we had any gearboxes for scrap, I said to my boss 'what a big guy!' My boss said that was part Roach the wrestler, I thought whatever. Not long ago I was watching Indiana Jones raiders of the lost ark, I told my parents I'd met him back in '88.

Met Pat a few times. Used to pop into his wife's shop in Kingston Arcade every Saturday. He thought I was chatting her up. She told him that I'd been popping in before her Herbal Remedies shop had even opened and seeing how she was getting on. His gym was upstairs. Really nice bloke. I do miss him.

This is tired & clunky,must be connerys last outing.he looks out of shape and then the obvious use of doubles .nowhere as good as his fight with Robert Shaw on the train in from Russia with love.
